In 1903, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, four youngsters ignited a traditional wildfire that would grow and spread across characteristics and generations. Their innovation and imagination for what was possible on two wheels sparked a transportation revolution and lifestyle that would make Harley-Davidson the most desirable motorcycle and lifestyle brand in the world. These days, Harley carry on to define motorcycle culture and lifestyle, arousing soul-stirring excitementimitated in every product and experience they deliver- like they have for well over a century and will for generations to come.
In 1901, 20-year-old William S. Harley drew up plans for a small engine with a displacement of 7.07 cubic inches (116 cc) and four-inch (102 mm) flywheels designed for use in a regular pedal-bicycle frame. Over the next two years, he and his childhood friend Arthur Davidson worked on their motor-bicycle using the Northside Milwaukee machine shop at the home of their friend Henry Melk. It was finished in 1903 with the help of Arthur's brother Walter Davidson. Upon testing their power-cycle, Harley and the Davidson brothers found it unable to climb the hills around Milwaukee without pedal assistance, and they wrote off their first motor-bicycle as a valuable learning experiment.
Since then this company doesn’t have to look back. Harley-Davidson is noted for a style of customization that gave rise to the chopper motorcycle style. The company traditionally marketed heavyweight, air-cooled cruiser motorcycles with engine displacements greater than 700 cc, but it has broadened its offerings to include more contemporary VRSC (2002) and middle-weight Street (2015) platforms. To enhance their position as the most desirable motorcycle and lifestyle brand in the world, they always tries to design, engineer and advance the most desirable motorcycles in the world - reflected in quality, innovation, and craftsmanship, in addition, they are always trying to build a lifestyle brand, valued for the emotion reflected in every product and experience for riders and non-riders alike. As a result they always maintained their focus on their customers’ desire, so that they can deliver adventure and freedom for their soul.
