ACI Motors is now declared as the only legal importer and sole distributor in Bangladesh for Yamaha Motorcycles. This statement is given by the court and they also disallow Push International, New Sonargoan Motors, RN enterprise, Polaris Tech limited and Power pack internationals to import Yamaha motorcycles. To obey the court Orders Bangladesh road transport authority (BRTA) and Bangladesh Police already started the process.
About this issue BRTA secretary Mohammad Showkat Ali said, Bangladeshi wise court declared ACI motors as the only legal importer and sole distributor of Yamaha motorcycles and we already noticed this order. BRTA will take every possible step to follow this order.
It’s been heard that, except the regular Yamaha Products which are imported by ACI motors Yamaha FZS V2.0 and Fazer V2.0 models are being sold at the local market and these are illegally imported by other non authorized importers. Because of this quandary ACI motors placed a petition to the wise court.
Managing director and the chief executive of ACI motors DR Ansari said, “If a bike enters at the legal service point for servicing they match the chassis and engine number and then fix the problem. That’s why we can easily trace which bike is legal and which are not. A legal importer shows the exact price and imports the motorcycles after paying 150% tax to the government. But illegal importers don’t do the same thing they show lower prices of their products and pay less tax. And those bikes cannot be traced unless those are involved in an illegal doings. Because of this reason buyer don’t get the after sells service and the original body parts as well. So for the betterment of both the country and consumers we must have to take some steps at the motorcycle importing and the court has already started the process.
