Bajaj, Honda, TVS, Mahindra and Keeway brand motorcycles will be produced in the country

Very recent these 5 brands are to open their workshop in our country. Upcoming December or January would have been the opening months for these companies to represent their products in the Bangladeshi market from the factories of Bangladesh.

Bajaj bikes are going to be produced in our country and its sole distributor is Uttara Motors limited. Honda is producing by Bangladesh Honda Limited in Bangladesh. Sane time, Indian TVS, Mahindra even the China brand Keeway are now on the way to establish their workshop in the shape of factory in our country.

Last Wednesday entrepreneurs of industrial sector serve this information of establishment of the factories to the Industrial Minister MR. Amir Hossain Amu. At the same time, they further said to minister that these factories will run to deliver in just 6 months. It is better to say that, later they said with a personal interview with “Prothom Alo” that “Their target is December in which they are looking forward to took the products in the market from their new factories of Bangladesh.

Same time, they urged to take some steps which will help to enhance the exploration of Motorcycle industry. Including the matters of Reducing the registration fee over motorcycles, bank loan system to purchase Motorcycles, Industrial parks for the associate industry of motorcycles as well as for the vendors and some others issues.

From the Industrial Ministry we come to know that the leader of “Bangladesh Motorcycle Assemblers and Manufacturer Association” (BMAMA) made a meeting with the Minister of Industry MR. Amir Hossain Amu where the Chairman of Uttara Motors and President of BMAMA MR. Matiur Rahman, Hondas Managing Director of Bangladesh Youshiro Yishi and MR. Shah Muhammad Ashikur Rahman Head of the Economy, Executive Officer of TVS Autos in Bangladesh MR . Biplob Kumar Roy were also in the meeting.

Ministry of Industry let us know that, Leaders of BMAMA greeted Thanks to Industrial minister for creating “National Motorcycle Industry Development Policy – 2018”. They said that, through this policy, Motorcycle industry now got its own identification emerging excellence among the industrial products where is a chance to appoint more then around a thousand workers and already got investment of 1500 Crore. In the upcoming 5 years this sector will be a resource of 100 Crore Dollar.
We more come to know from the producer and importer of Motorcycle that, they has sold the number of motorcycles in the year of 2017 are 3 lakh 87 thousands and each of the year this number is increasing around 30%.

Presenter of Bajaj already established a factory with the name of “Trans Asia Industry” in the Savar area. TVS is looking forward to settle their workshop in Valuka of Mymensingh. They already have started their joint venture activity In Auchpara of Tongi. On the other hand, Honda Motor Corporation made their workshop at “Abdul Monem Economic Zone” in Munshiganj

When we ask about the plan, MR. Ashikur Rahman who is the head of Economy of Honda serve us the information that they are trying to reduce the along side fees of a bike as like 110cc bikes price is now below 1 lakh after reducing but its registration fee remains around 21 thousands which is not over 4000- 5000 in our nearby countries.
