Founded in 1989, CFMoto quickly became well-known in the domestic market for producing motorcycles with good engines and attractive designs, while also capturing the attention of motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide. Motorcycle manufacturers participate in various motor sports to demonstrate the capabilities and build quality of their motorcycles. Although Chinese motorcycle manufacturers are somewhat behind, CFMoto is an exception in this regard.
CFMoto 650 NK was the first Chinese motorcycle to participate in the Isle of Man TT. In 2013, the UK motorcycle importer WK Bikes entered this model in the famous race, bringing CFMoto a prestigious recognition. Additionally, with its own team, CFMoto became the first Chinese motorcycle manufacturer to participate in the Isle of Man TT in 2016. British rider Gary Johnson rode the CFMOTO 650NK to a fourth-place finish, marking a new chapter for Chinese motorcycle manufacturers.
MotoGP is one of the most well-known names in the racing world. To showcase the expertise of a research team from five countries and the experience gained from working with renowned motorcycle manufacturer KTM, CFMoto first participated in Moto3 in 2022. German racing team Prustel GP riders Xavier Artigas and Carlos Tatay rode CFMoto's motorcycles in this competition.
A good start is half the success. In their debut year in MotoGP in 2022, Xavier secured the tenth position. This was just the beginning. CFMoto began to dominate the racing world starting from 2024.
In 2024, CFMoto Aspar Racing Team rider David Alonso simultaneously makes history for both CFMoto and his home country Colombia, marking the beginning of a new era. Among over 200 motorcycle manufacturers in China, David Alonso wins the Qatar Grand Prix, earning CFMoto’s recognition as the first Chinese motorcycle manufacturer to win a Grand Prix.
