In 1909, Macchio Suzuki established the Suzuki Loom Works, a loom factory in a small town in Japan. Suzuki's revolutionary success in the silk industry came in 1929 ,their designed loom started to export to overseas. Which increases Suzuki's confidence and inspires him in new innovation. The company's owner, Macchio Suzuki, was a visionary man, he wanted to innovate something new according to the demand of the customer. He realized that small and personal vehicles would
became popular in near future. From this belief, the company had focused on inventing new vehicles.
During World War II, the Japanese government occupied the factory and used it to make military equipment. By the end of the war, the Japanese economy was in tatters and indeed the Japanese needed affordable and reliable personal transportation has been increased.
Suzuki’s Beginning in the Motorcycle world
Suzuki makes their first motorized bicycle named Power free with one horse power, two stroke and 36cc engine in 1952. In the next, Suzuki made a Diamond Free of 60 cc engine with same structure. The success of Power Free and Diamond Free designed as low-budget, encouraged Suzuki to build their next bike.
In 1954, Suzuki changed its name to Suzuki Motor Company and became a fully automobile company. In that year, Suzuki launched Colleda, a 90cc bike with its current conventional structure. It was the first Japanese bike which had speedo meter. Colleda was very popular at that time because of its small engine, large wheels and attractive design. After that, Suzuki did not have to stop. Thus started Suzuki Motor become one of the market leaders in the automobile world.
Suzuki in Motor Sports
Fast and technologically advance, Suzuki’s had a record walk in motor sports. Their invented engine has been dominating the motor sports world since the very beginning. Suzuki won the 50cc World Championship for five times in a row from 1962 to 1967 and at same time they won two times in 125 cc.
Barry Sheene won the Premier 500cc in 1976 and 1977 and Wes Cooley had won American Superbike Championship in 1978 and 1979 riding Suzuki GS 1000 .
Kenny Roberts Jnr won MotoGP world Champion in 2020 in 500 cc. In 2000, the famous rider Joan Mir became the world champion in MotoGP and in 2022 won the Qatar GP by riding GSX-RR at a speed of 220.4mph/354.8kmh.

Amongst the numerous versions of modern and technologically advanced Suzuki's motorcycles, the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa is unique. Hayabusa, a sports bike, was launched in 1999 with an engine of 1298 cc and 310.kmh speed was the fastest motorcycle at that time.
