HERO Launches Passion X pro X tec and New Thriller 160R

Aligned with its customer-centric approach, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has reinvigorated the motorcycle segment with the introduction of two new and updated versions of its successful brands - Passion XPRO XTEC and Thriller 160R – in Bangladesh.

The new motorcycles showcase the company's commitment to providing youthful products with modern design, latest technology, and distinct appeal to its valued customers in the country.

Both new bikes were launched through a ceremonial event conducted at the grand ballroom of Sheraton Hotel in Banani on 14th June, 2022. The top management of Niloy Motors Limited and HMCL Niloy Bangladesh Limited along with the Brand Ambassador of HERO Mr. Arifin Shuvoo, who is currently the leading actor of the country, were present at the event. The program ended with a stunning performance by one of the most renowned singers of Bangladesh –Kornia.

The new two-wheelers have been priced attractively, with the Passion XPRO XTEC priced at 1,24,490 BDT, Thriller 160R (single disk) at 1,93,990 BDT and Thriller 160R (double disk) at 2,03,990 BDT. Both motorcycles will be available at Hero dealerships across the country from June 22 onwards.

Hero MotoCorp forayed into Bangladesh in April 2014 through a joint venture with Nitol Niloy Group. The Company has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Jessore with an installed capacity of 250,000 motorcycles and scooters per annum. Hero MotoCorp products are sold across the country through Niloy Motors Limited, the exclusive distributor of Hero MotoCorp products in Bangladesh, which has a network of more than 500 customer touch-points across the country. Hero MotoCorp was the first manufacturer in the country to offer five years warranty on its products.

Connectivity

The Passion XPRO XTEC comes with a range of new segment-first features including an all-new fully Digital Cluster with blue-back light, Bluetooth connectivity with advanced on-display features like call alert with caller name, missed call & SMS notifications, phone battery percentage on display and service due reminders.

Design & Convenience

Another segment-first feature, is the Projector LED headlamps with best-in-segment brightness and 12% longer beam than the conventional halogen lamp. A new visor & Cowl to house the LED projector headlamp enhances the aerodynamics while the Rim Tapes add to the sportiness. Ensuring utmost safety and convenience, the Passion XPRO XTEC features a Disc Brake with CBS (combi-braking system) and a Low-fuel indicator.

Colour

The motorcycle comes in two new exciting colors to suit the riders’ personality - Techno Blue and Sports Red.

Engine

The new motorcycle comes with a BS-IV compliant 110cc (Torque on Demand) engine, producing a maximum power output of 7.0 (9.4) kW (PS) @ 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 9.0 Nm @ 5500 rpm.

The Thriller 160R

New Features

The updated Thriller 160R comes with a USB changer that is conveniently located under the handlebar. A new Belly-pan protects the engine against dust/mud and improves aesthetics.

Providing enhanced safety and comfort to the pillion, the motorcycle also features a new seat and rear grab rails.

Adding to the sportiness of the Thriller 160R is the new aggressive graphics scheme on the fuel tank and the tank pad.

Class-Leading Acceleration

Setting the bar for a modern streetfighter and real-world performance, the Thriller 160R comes with a 160cc air-cooled BS-VI Compliant engine that is powered by the XSens technology and advanced Programmed-Fuel-Injection. The Engine delivers an impressive power output of 15.2 PS @ 8500 RPM. Joining the fast lane with a class-leading acceleration, 0-60 km/h in 4.7 seconds.

Exceptional Handling

The Thriller 160R enjoys a commanding riding position with ergonomics engineered for the streets. The light-weight rigid diamond frame setup along with a lightweight 139.5 kg body and alloys offers exceptional handling in the streets while making it a corner happy machine at the same time. The 37mm Telescopic Front Forks and a 7-step adjustable Rear Mono-shock Suspension setup is tuned for urban agility, providing precise handling and a smooth ride. Brakes with 276mm Front petal disc and 220mm Rear petal disc ensure that the rider is always in full control and confident of the stopping power. The 165mm ground clearance ensures the ride is hurdle-free.

Features

The Thriller 160R is paired with a first-in-segment – all LED package including Droid LED headlamp, sleek and robust LED Winkers, and Signature LED Tail-lamp with a unique 'H' insignia to differentiate from the crowd. The LCD brightness adjustment features enable a rider to adjust to 5 different levels for better readability in bright conditions. The inverted fully digital LCD display together with the first-in-segment side-stand engine cut off ensures the motorcycle is both technologically advanced and safe.
