LAUNCHES THE ICONIC MOTORCYCLE ‘KARIZMA XMR’ IN ITS NEW CONTEMPORARY AVATAR AND THE NEW POWERFUL ‘THRILLER 160R 4V’

In keeping with its focus on the premium segment and the commitment to present technologically-advanced products to its customers across the world, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has launched two highly-anticipated premium motorcycles in Bangladesh – the Karizma XMR and Thriller 160R 4V.

Both products have been launched in Bangladesh within a few months of their global unveil at the EICMA motor show in Milan and launch in India. Thus, reiterating the significance of the market in the company’s global growth plans. This is one the largest product launches in the country by the global Indian MNC.

The new Karizma XMR expands Hero MotoCorp’s presence to the 200cc segment in the country. The motorcycle is powered by a sturdy 210cc Liquid Cooled DOHC Engine, 6 Speed transmission that comes with Slip and Assist Clutch and Dual Channel ABS – purpose built for the perfect ride redefining the sports segment. It is packed with the segment-first features, such as, adjustable windshield, Intelligent Illumination Headlamp and Turn-by-Turn navigation, thereby, guaranteeing an unparalleled motorcycling experience to the new generation riders.

Enhancing the company’s premium portfolio is the Thriller 160R 4V which opens up a thrilling new chapter in the successful journey of the highly popular brand, Thriller. The motorcycle offers an unparalleled package of performance, masculine stance, smart features and sharper control.

The online and offline pre-bookings for both motorcycles will commence from February 14, 2024. Customers will be able to book the Karizma XMR with an amount 30,000/- BDT and the Thriller 160R 4V with an amount 20,000/- BDT. Deliveries will commence from March 2024.

The Thriller 160R 4V is priced attractively at 2,74,990/-BDT. But the introductory price has been set at 2,54,990/- BDT.

The Karizma XMR is priced at 499,990/- BDT. As a special price will be 399,990/- BDT for the first 210 customers.

The motorcycles have been designed and developed at Hero MotoCorp’s state-of-the-art R&D hub, Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in the Northern Indian state of Rajasthan.

Hero MotoCorp – which has a joint venture with Nitol Niloy Group in Bangladesh – operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Jessore with an installed capacity of 150,000 motorcycles and scooters per annum. Hero MotoCorp products are sold across the country through Niloy Motors Limited, the distributor of Hero MotoCorp products in Bangladesh, which has a network of more than 500 customer touch-points across the country. Hero MotoCorp was the first manufacturer in the country to offer five years warranty on its products.

Karizma XMR

Sporty from front to rear
The progressive styling establishes a new design language and delivers a statement of distinctive presence. Compact, yet mature and comfortable, it is the perfect companion for adventures of everyday riding. The dynamic Aero-Layered design optimized by the full fairing, intelligent dimensions as well as floating panels work together to offer agile handling, as well as deflecting the heat feeling on all the rider interfaces thus, adding comfort and convenience to the rider.

Useful for high-speed cruising, the first-in-segment adjustable windshield offers extreme wind and weather protection and is easily adjustable 30mm up and down, thanks to the convenient aesthetically designed button.

Cutting-Edge Technology
The new Karizma XMR offers a Class-D LED projector headlamp with integrated LED DRLs. Available for the first time in the segment, the Auto – Illumination feature offers both convenient and an intuitive riding experience delivered by the motorcycle. Complemented by the Signature H shaped LED Tail light, backlit switchgear and the Hazard Switch, the all-LED lighting gives the Karizma XMR its unmistakable sporty-aggressive look and the visual brilliance in the crowd.

The Karizma XMR comes with an inverted display LCD speedometer that gives a clear view of your navigation and all your data. It comes with 39 different functionalities such as smart phone connectivity for incoming call/SMS alert, first-in-segment turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle battery status, range, gear position indicator and shift advisory, ambient light sensor, gear shift & low fuel indicator, trip meter etc.

The exclusive colours make a clear classification of Karizma XMR in the segment. The Karizma XMR is available in three distinct color options – Iconic Yellow, Turbo Red and Matte Phantom Black.

Hero Thriller 160R 4V

The motorcycle boasts of class leading acceleration reaching 0-60 km/h in just 4.41 seconds. Taking the Dragster positioning further ahead, the Thriller 160R 4V ensures best-in-class timings in drag race (quarter-mile), 0-100 Km/h and 0 to Top speed, making it the fastest** 160cc motorcycle in its segment.

The new Thriller 160R 4V stands out by delivering exceptional precision. With a best-in-class 37mm inverted Front Fork Suspension by KYB and a 7-step Pre-Load adjustable rear suspension, it offers a distinct balance of comfort and control. The motorcycle also boasts the lowest-in-class kerb weight of 145Kg and powerful petal disc brakes.

The robotic Headlamp which is lowered and complimented by the new fairing winglets, add to the mean stance of the motorcycle. The interchangeable seats with a single and split options enhances the riding comfort and convenience of the users.

The well-balanced ergonomics of Thriller 160R 4V offer more comfort, support and freedom of movement. The interplay of the increased legroom for rider and pillion, the lowered handlebar with comfortable pillion split seat option and ample split rear grips provides even better comfort and safe feeling for both the rider and the pillion.
