nowadays Bangladeshi motorcycle market is rising rapidly and for this it is in afloat condition. Due to tax reducing cause motorcycle provider companies also reduced their motorcycle prices. On the other side registration fee is now in reasonable condition. Because of both changes 30-40% extra profit is added for the sole distributors through 2016 motorcycle sell.

They are also expecting the same this year because to avoid traffic jam and mass-transportation both male and female employee or students are purchasing motorbikes. youngsters are also choosing the same vehicle. Villagers are also interested to have bikes as their personal transport for speedy and simple movement and also for the reasonable price.

In this fiscal year Finance minister Abul mal abdul muhit reduced the subsidiary tax at motorbike importing from 45% to 20%. for this reason TK 10-20 thousand is lessen depending on the CC category. For example TVS motorcycle company have a bike named Apache RTR 150(single Disc) which was available at TK2 lacks. After reducing the tax TK20 thousand has been lessen. For motorbike registration you have to pay TK21 thousand to the government. You have to pay TK12 thousand at once and after that if you want you can pay the rest in four installment. Within every two years you can give the Installment.

Matuir Rahman is the managing director uttora motors which is the sole distributer and importer of Indian motorcycle company Bajaj. He said at the year 2016 his company have 0% extra profit. At our local market Bajaj is holding the first position.

From 2014 Indian motorcycle company Hero motocorp started to provide their products to our market. Niloy motors is the distributer of Hero. At the past they import Hero Honda motorcycles. This company claims they sold 38 thousand 400 motorcycle at the year2016. At 2015 it was 29 thousand 600. 30% extra sell is added to their list.

Chief CFO of Niloy motors Bijoy kumar Mondol said, lessen tax at the motorcycle importing is the reason of price reducing and for this reason bike sell has increase.

Indian company TVS sold 43 thousand unit of motorcycle at 2016. TVs sold 25 thousand units of motorcycle at 2015 and they are claiming that they added 41% extra selling.

Marketing organizer of TVS auto Bangladesh Ashraful Hasan said, for political stability and better registration system of motorcycle is the reason of extra sell, and the other reason is trust on TVS.

As the domestic Brand runner recently started exporting bikes to Nepal and along with that at the year 2016 they also had good profit in our own country. Last year they sold 26 thousand motorbike which was 20 thousand at the year 2015. they said after one year they added 30% sell.

From Indian motorcycle companies local brands are remaining few step back but at 80cc motorcycle segment their selling is at the top. Their 50% sell comes from 80cc segment.

DMD of runner group MR. Wahid Murad said to protom alo, as a brand Runner is now more stronger then before and it is helpful for our success. For the better service our selling is improving day after day.

Almost every company imports motorcycle and provide them to our local market. Only a few company manufacture their own products. Including all around 15 companies are existing.

Most of the imported motorcycle are from china and India. Domestic manufacturers import the engine and other parts are made by them. Manufacturers want the rising of importing tax but the importers want it to be reduced. Though the tax is reduced in the new budget but the government gave importers a condition, which is hey have to manufacture their own products within two years.

Importers said that they will not be able to manufacture products within two years because the Bangladeshi motorcycle market is not so big enough. If all of them goes with manufacturing then it can put a bad impact to their business.

BMMA president Matiur Rahman said,“ it will be better for all if the given condition of manufacturing motorcycles within two years can be canceled and we need to build supporting industries and experienced manpower.
