Riders and teams using Motorex lubricants have won over 100 World Championships organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). Let’s look at some notable victories of Motorex in the racing world.
KTM and Motorex: The Dynamic Duo of the Racing Industry
The most significant partner in Motorex’s racing success is KTM. For over two decades, KTM and Motorex have dominated global racing events. The collaboration between one of the world’s most successful motorcycle brands and the leading specialist lubricant company began in 2003, establishing a “state-of-the-art infrastructure” capable of producing lubricant solutions for specific situations.
Every month, around 32,000 liters of Motorex engine oil are used in KTM machines. Over the years, approximately 2.4 million stock motorcycles have been filled with Motorex oil before hitting the market. This is why KTM refers to Motorex as their “First Fill.”
When KTM started its journey in the Motorcycle World Championship in 2003, Motorex became their technical partner in the 125cc class. In the first year, KTM achieved its first podium finish in Malaysia. The following year, in 2004, Casey Stoner secured KTM’s first victory. Combining KTM’s slim orange fairing with Motorex’s green logo on the KTM 125 FRR created a distinct vibe on the racetrack.
Since then, this duo has never looked back. Over more than 20 years of partnership, they have won over 122 FIM World Championships and continue to achieve success in various racing events. Most recently, they celebrated victory in the Rally Dakar Moto racing with Kevin Benavides of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.
Motorex’s first-class solutions have helped KTM achieve approximately 330 FIM World Titles, with podium finishes in Enduro, MXGP, AMA Supercross, AMA Pro National Motocross, and MotoGP™, Moto3™, and Moto2™. This is why Motorex lubricants are often referred to as #raceproven.
(KTM won the premier class in 2010-2014, 2017, 2018, 2021 and the MX2 championship in 2004, 2008-2014, 2016-2020, and 2022)
Husqvarna Partnership and Immediate Success:
In 2018, Swedish brand Husqvarna partnered with Motorex, and just a few months later, they won two AMA SX titles together. This championship victory was Husqvarna’s first AMA Supercross title in its 115-year history.
On the other hand, this was Motorex’s fourth consecutive AMA Supercross Championship. Jason Anderson and Zach Osborne of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing won the titles. In the previous three years, Ryan Dungey of KTM had won three championships, also associated with Motorex. These victories provide insight into Motorex’s winning mentality.
Record-Breaking 12 World Motorcycle Championship Titles in 2022:
Motorex celebrated its most successful season in 2022, winning 12 FIM-approved world championship titles in four categories, bringing their total number of titles to 152.
ENDURO: Andrea Verona won the EnduroGP and Enduro1 World Championships, Wil Ruprecht the Enduro2 title, and Billy Bolt the SuperEnduro championship. Manuel Lettenbichler became the Hard Enduro World Champion.
