The demand for bikes has been increasing in the country for a long time. Especially in big cities, it is possible to travel by bike in a short time and at low cost. But proper training for bikers in our country is inadequate. Proper training gives you the confidence to walk safely. With the aim of that training and in an effort to ensure the safety of bikers, ACI Motors has started a special training program for motorcyclists for the first time in Bangladesh through Yamaha Riding Academy.
The journey of this riding academy started from 2017. So far there have been more than 240 classes at the Riding Academy. Here 30 students in each class are trained to ride motorbikes. Initially, one of the aims of the academy was to provide training opportunities for women to ride motorcycles. Because, there are very few facilities for women to learn to ride motorcycles in the country. So far, more than 2,000 bikers have been trained at the riding academy, of which more than 1,200 were women. There are training facilities for both men and women.
Two classes are taken every Friday and Saturday at the BG Press Ground in the capital's Tejgaon Riding Academy. Safety guidelines are also taught through theoretical classes outside of practical bike classes. During the training, everyone is given an idea about the various important aspects of the bike.
There are women trainers for women. The instructors at Yamaha Riding Academy are trained by instructors from Yamaha Japan. At present this program is running in Dhaka and Faridpur. One of the goals of the Yamaha Riding Academy in Bangladesh is to assist bikers in obtaining driving licenses.
Registration for this training can be done very easily by paying the registration fee by filling the form with the link of the form from the Facebook page of Yamaha Motorcycle Bangladesh-ACI Motors Limited.
Regarding the training program, ACI Motors Executive Director “Subrata Ranjan Das” said, “We have been training people to ride motorcycles since we started our business with Yamaha. So far we have given free training to two thousand bikers. Outside Dhaka, Yamaha Riding Academy is also working in Faridpur. Hopefully, we can do this training all over the country.”
