Minister of State for Women and Child Affairs Jayitha handed over TVS scooters and loan checks on low interest loans to women entrepreneurs. Honorable Minister of State Fazilatun Nessa Indira, MP handed over five TVS Wigo scooters to five women under a total loan of Tk. 7 lakh 45 thousand, she also distributed SME loan checks of total 11 crore 30 lakh 80 thousand Taka to 75 women entrepreneurs of Jayita Foundation.
The chief guest of the program, Hon'ble Minister of State in his speech recalled Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's contribution to women's freedom and mentioned that the Hon'ble Prime Minister has built a nationwide women-friendly infrastructure for the marketing and marketing of products and services produced by women entrepreneurs. He also mentioned the issue of giving loans ranging from fifty thousand to fifty lakh rupees to each woman entrepreneur.
Najma Mubarek, Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, was present as a special guest at the event. In his speech, he mentioned various initiatives of the present government to build the economic capacity of women entrepreneurs. He appreciated the role of Jayita Foundation for supporting women entrepreneurs at every stage from product production to product sales. Apart from this, he mentioned about radical changes in Jayita Food Court and Marketing Centre.
Mr. Afroza Khan, Managing Director of Jayita Foundation, said, many women will take their daughter to school by riding a scooter with Jayita's logo, bring their own products to the shop, many women will make the journey easier by sharing rides, we all hope that we will see many such women when we look at the streets.

Today, a new horizon of women's journey in our country has been opened by handing over scooters to Jayita women entrepreneurs through Jayita Foundation. We hope that in the coming days this great initiative of Joyita Foundation will spread across the country very quickly and will advance the life of women entrepreneurs of Bangladesh in many ways. “Masrur Arefin”, Managing Director of City Bank as guest of honor in the event said that they are working dedicatedly for women entrepreneurs through a separate desk called “City Women Alo” and expressed hope that they will work more strongly in the future.
Note that this loan is being given at only 5% interest from the Revolving Capital Support Fund of Jayita Foundation. Loans are being disbursed through City Bank Limited, NRB Commercial Bank, United Commercial Bank and One Bank Limited. Out of the existing 37 crore Taka in the fund, 11.5 crore Taka have been given to women entrepreneurs. Also, 382 women entrepreneurs have been given loans of Tk. 30 crore under the incentive package during Corona.
