We all know about an Indian motorcycle brand and that is Hero. When Hero and Honda used to work together one of their popular products was launched in 2007, with the name of Hero Honda Hunk 150. Few days later Hero started working alone and in 2011, Hero Moto Corp gave the Hunk a minor update, making it available with the option of a rear disc brake and slight change at the graphics as well. After that this bike started its journey with new name and new style. Recently the latest edition of this bike is being launched by Hero and that is Hero Hunk 150 Matte Edition.
Apart from the new color, this motorcycle comes with an array of same features such as digital console, new styling for side panels, tubeless tyres, LED tail lamps, an exhaust cover and darker colored grab rails.

Looks and graphics:
Nothing to say especial about the looks because that remains the same though the overall charm has changed because of the new design and graphics that has given for this edition. Now this bike is available with Matte colors and the overall all graphics is changed to new pattern. The fuel tanker has now Sporty Speed line Graphics; apart from that the rear side graphics is also being changed. It has now more intense color. New styling for side panels, body colored mirrors, matte colored exhaust cover, darker colored grab rails and suspensions all are giving this bike a new charm to look into it. Overall this design is build over a Tubular, Diamond type chassis.
Engine:
The Hero Hunk is powered by a 149.2cc, Air Cooled, 4 - stroke single cylinder OHC engine and that can produce 14.4 PS of power and 12.8Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a five-speed constant mesh gearbox. The bike weights 145 kg with a fuel tank having a capacity of holding 12.4 liters of fuel. The company claims that the bike delivers a max speed of 107 KM/H. Compression ratio of this bike engine is 9.1:1 and the AMI - Advanced Microprocessor Ignition System is placed for the ignition.
Dimensions:
This 145 Kg Hero hunk comes with the same dimension of the previous models. It has 2080 mm length, 765 mm width, 1095 mm height. Besides that it has 795 mm saddle height, 1325 mm wheelbase and 163 mm ground clearance.
Tyres and wheels:
80/100 x 18-47 P Tubeless front tyres are placed at the front and 100 / 90 X 18 -56 P, Tubeless tyres are placed for the rear side. Both these tyres are placed over strong alloy wheels.
Brakes and suspensions:
Dia 240 mm front Disc brakes are available with every variant of Hunk, besides that Dia 220 mm (Optional) Disc brakes and 130 mm internal expanding shoe type drum brakes are available based on different variants.
Talking about the suspensions it has Telescopic Hydraulic Shock Absorbers front suspensions and Swing Arm with Nitrox GRS (Gas Reservoir Suspension). So overall it seems like this new hunk has few extra facilities than before.
Electrical:
For operating all the electrical features this bike has 12 V - 4 Ah, MF battery, with this 12 V - 35 W / 35W - Halogen bulb Trapezoidal MFR headlamp, 12 V - 0.5 W / 4.1W (LED lamps) rear light , 12 V - 10 W (Amber bulb) x 4 nos. (Multi - reflector clear lens) side indicators and 12 V - 3W pilot lamps are operated.
Meter panel:
With the combination of digital and analogue meter instruments this meter panel is created. It has digital Speedo meter, ODO and clock, apart from those it has analogue fuel indicator, rpm counter etc.
Verdict:
People used to say the design or the color of hunk is not up to the mark but on the whole it is seen that this new edition of hunk is almost comes with the same features like the previous model but few improving is seen and the most interesting one is the graphics. So now it can be expected that based on the new graphics and changes Hero Hunk will answer all complains and fulfill the demands.
