In Bangladesh many motorcycle manufacturing brand are available but few of them are trustworthy. Japanese motorcycles always had good impression at the Bangladeshi local market along with internationals. Three of the high class Japanese motorcycle manufacturer provides their motorcycles in our country and one of them is Yamaha. Yamaha motorcycles are very popular for their all category motorcycles and especially in Bangladesh their 150cc products are popular. In them Yamaha Fazer 150 is must be mentioned.

Yamaha introduced its sporty 150cc naked motorcycle, the FZ, back in 2008. It was soon followed by the semi-faired Fazer in 2009. Now that the FZ Version 2.0 is here and doing well in the market, the Japanese motorcycle brand has introduced the Fazer version 2.0. Though Yamaha has launched Yamaha's Fazer Fi Version 2 on September 17, 2014 in India but this bike got availability in Bangladesh December 2016. And at 2017 Yamaha Version 2.0 Fi 2017 is launched in Bangladesh. Fazer series is known for its sporty looks and high performance from the past and now the performance getting better and better. Let's take a look at the specifications of this motorcycle.

The bike has got a tagline 'Open your heart to the touring spirit' which itself defines it comfort and touring experience.

Body design and dimension
As we mentioned at the very beginning that Yamaha Fazer Version 2.0 Fi serves as a semi-faired version of the FZ-S Version 2.0. This new version retains the core Fazer DNA with its sports touring and stunning looks. Apart from that, new graphics, dual headlights and fairing mounted rear view mirrors, a split seat, rear license plate area, tire-hugger and a new silencer canister are the remarkable changes for this new version of Fazer. New outlooks suits this bike and getting excellent respond. The motorcycle has lightweight diamond chassis for a smoother and power full performance on road. It has a ground clearance of 160 mm but the wheelbase is extended for better stability and now it is 1330 mm. Overall the bike looks more modern and appealing than before. Without that it has got a length of 1990 mm, width of 760 mm and a height of 1115 mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 137 KGs. Muscular tank with a fuel capacity of 12-litres is also placed at this bike.





Instrument Panel and Electrical
The motorcycle features a fully digital instrument console that comprises a speedometer, tachometer, trip meter and a fuel gauge. The Fazer Version 2.0 Fi also bears an ECO indicator that lights up when the machine is ridden in an eco-friendly manner along with low fuel, oil and battery indicators. At the electrical it has electric stating option with the help of 12V, maintenance free battery, few upgrades are made powerful twin head light 12 V, 35/35W, LED turn light of 12V, 10W at the both side. New technology at the head lamp is added for this bike which is AHO. AHO means Automatic Headlight On, with this technology the bikes headlight will automatically stats with the ignition and never turns off before the engine does. For safety and riding at the foggy or dusty situation it can really help.








Engine
As the heart of the new Fazer Version 2.0 Fi is a 149cc, BLUE CORE, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, fuel-injected engine that generates a maximum power of 12.9 Bhp made at 8000 rpm with utmost torque value of 12.8 Nm made at 6000 rpm. Blue Core is Yamaha's new generation engine development ideal, designed to extract maximum performance and fuel economy. 5-speed manual transmission and a constant wet multi-plate clutch system is placed at this bike.





Mileage and speed
As mentioned before Yamaha Company has introduced BLUE CORE technology to improve the mileage because it was one of the biggest problems of both Fazer and FZS. After the new technology added this motorcycle offers an extremely good mileage of 45-50 KM/L on highways which reduces to 35-40 KM/L on the city roads but comparing with the previous model it is far better. On the other side speed remains almost the same as before. It can reach a top speed of 118 KM/H speed. But the acceleration is faster than the past.





Brakes and Suspension
Comfort and safety are very important for riding bikes and Yamaha tries to give their best at this side. Yamaha Fazer Version 2.0 Fi comes with 267 mm hydraulic disc brake at its front while the 130 mm drum brakes are placed at its rear side. And it can offer excellent braking. The suspension system is also good including of telescopic suspensions at the front side and mono-shock at the back. With the help of these suspension rider can have smoother and comfortable journey.


Verdict
The motorcycle is available in three attractive color options which are Burning Red, Midnight Black and Marble White.

After examine all these features it can be said that the Fazer FI V2.0 presents better technology and better mileage than the existing Fazer. New technologies, body parts, kits, graphics all made combined make this bike superior. The price point which is higher as well but it can be ignored if riders enjoy their every single ride with this bike. Yamaha would have offered this bike with a rear disc brake but in over all view performance will not differ that much.
