Chatmohor Sahi Masjid

Historic Chatmohor Shahi Masjid is a beautiful example of ancient architectural art in the heart of Chatmohar Upazila. According to the inscriptions obtained from this Shahi Mosque, during the reign of Emperor Akbar in 1581 AD, the mosque was built in Chatmohar by his brother Muhammad bin Turki Khan Qakshal with the funding of Syed leader Abul Fateh Muhammad Masum Khan. The construction technique of the three-domed Chatmohar Shahi Mosque is influenced by ancient Sultanate architecture. The Tughra inscription from the Chatmohar Mosque is currently preserved in the Barendra Research Museum, Rajshahi. Thousands of visitors flock every day to see this mosque built 400 years ago.
