Hardinge Bridge is dividing Pakshi and Bheramara upazilas of Ishwardi upazila in Kushtia. This is a railway bridge built over the River Padma. Viceroy Lord Hardinge inaugurated this bridge on March 4, 1915. The bridge is called Hardinge Bridge named after Lord Hardinge. In 1889, a plan was taken to build a railway bridge over the Padma River to facilitate rail communication in the Indian subcontinent. The foundations of Pakshi Hardinge Bridge are laid from the lowest water mark to a depth of about 160 feet.
To go to this Hardinge Bridge / Lalon Shah Setu, you have to come to Ishwardi Dashuria Bypass, then from this bypass take the Khulna Kushtia Highway and reach Hardinge Bridge / Lalon Shah Setu. On the way you will see Ruppur nuclear power plant.
