Bajaj Pulsar 150 Vs Apache RTR 160

At our country basis Bajaj and TVS Motorcycle Company are most popular as a brand. They bring quality motorcycles in our local market for our country people. Among them Bajaj Pulsar 160 and TVS Apache RTR 150 are at top of the list. There is a rumor in our local market that, Apache RTR is basically 160 CC bike but for some reason it is running at our market as 150 CC bike.
These two motorcycles of Bajaj and TVS Company are most stylish and attractive motorcycles. One is known for its performance and another one for its breathtaking looks and speed. But there are few more configuration and specialty which makes the difference between these two motorcycles. Design
At this side motorcycles are made up with excellence but Apache RTR is a little bit attractive then Bajaj Pulsar for its sports looks and smaller size. Bajaj pulsar is a strait and long in size for this young riders sometimes ignore this motorcycle. But when a rider sees the breathtaking sports look of Apache RTR they become satisfied. So when a rider chose a sports type motorcycle, Apache RTR will lead the way for young age bikers.
Engine
For Apache RTR 160 TVS company has used 159.7 CC 4-strokes, EFI, air-cooled engine. On the other hand Bajaj has used 4-stroke, DTS-i, air cooled, single cylinder engine for Pulsar 150. At this side we can say both are almost similar.
When we talk about max power and max torque of these two motorcycles Apache RTR 160 is at the top. The max power and max torque of Apache RTR is 15.7 @8500 RMP and 13.1 @6500 RMP. On the other side Pulsar has 14.09 @8500 RMP max speed and 12.76 @8500 RMP max torque. The top speed of Apache RTR is 120 KM/H and other side Pulsar has 118 KM/H. Apache RTR 160 can go 0-60 KM/H @4 seconds on the other hand Pulsar 150 need 5 second. So For better torque and speed Apache RTR is much faster then Pulsar.
Body
At the dimension Apache RTR 160 is a little bit smaller then Bajaj Pulsar 150. For this reason Apache RTR is much stylish. Dimension of Apache RTR is 2020mm long, 730mm wide and the height is 1100mm. At pulsar 150 we will see it is 2055mm long, 755mm wide and its height is 1170mm. So we can say because of smaller size Apache RTR can be controlled easily.
Suspension, Tyres and Braking
At the suspension side both these motorcycles are almost same. Both back suspension of Apache and Pulsar are the same but at the front side Apache RTR has telescopic hydraulic suspension and Pulsar has telescopic 135mm Streak suspension. At the tier side both these motorcycles are same but the advantage of Apache RTR is the tier of these motorcycles is tubeless. At breaking side Apache RTR 160 is much better then Pulsar 150. At both side Apache motorcycles are made with disc breaks but Pulsar 150 has only one disc braking system at the front. At the back side Pulsar is made up with drum breaks.
Fuel tank capacity and mileage
At fuel tank capacity Pulsar 150 is one step ahead from Apache RTR 160. The fuel tank capacity of pulsar is 16 liters and at reserve it has 3 liters, on the other hand Apache RTR has 15 liters fuel capacity. At the mileage, here Apache RTR 160 is one step ahead because the mileage of Apache is 45-50 KM/L and other side Pulsar has 40+ KM/L mileages.
Comfort
Comfortable bike riding is very important for a rider. At this spot Bajaj Pulsar 150 is suitable then Apache RTR 160. Apache RTR is mainly built up for young age riders because it is smaller and the seat height of this motorcycle is little lower then Pulsar 150 so this bike is not so suitable for every age’s people. For this reason when a rider will go for a long drive he will not feel so much tiered or uncomfortable. And the most important thing about Bajaj Pulsar is people of any ages can ride this bike easily.
Control
During motorcycle riding, a rider has to be concern about controlling the motorcycle. When we talk about the controlling system of Apache RTR and Pulsar, Apache RTR is better. Because of 143 KG weight and large size sometimes controlling Pulsar 150 at traffic jam or crowded roads becomes tough. But at this type of situation controlling Apache RTR is very much easier because of it\'s smaller size, less weight and short wheel base handle. But at one side Pulsar is better to control. That is , when Apache RTR 160 reach the speed of 60 KM/H then it becomes to vibrate. For this reason riders can lose his control. Pulsar 150 will go smoothly as a rider likes. So it is easy to control this motorcycle at the top speed.
Verdict
Both these motorcycles Apache and Pulsar have some advantages and disadvantages. Such as when we talk about Apache RTR we can say it is speed king and the controlling of Apache at short roads is much better. But disadvantage of Apache is, this bike is not perfect for long journey. On the other hand Bajaj Pulsar won’t give the speed like Apache but the most important side of Pulsar is, it will give a smooth and safe journey at long distance with good control.
So at last from the above information we can say that Apache RTR 160 and Bajaj Pulsar 150 both these motorcycle are built up with excellence and well configured.
