I made my debut in motorcycle riding when I was in college. In the year 2005, I brought my first motorbike of TVS. Since that 12 years have passed, I got some others bike such as Hero Honda, Honda CBZ and Pulsar. Now I am using New Bajaj Avenger 150 Street.
This is Md. Shahajada Hossian. By profession I am a cricketer and businessman. I am the owner of “River View Food corner” situated at Padma garden. Today I will share my riding experience of Bajaj Avenger 150 Street with you through this article. I believe it will help to know the pros and cons of this bike.
Due to cricketing schedule and business, I usually travel India. In India, I got to know about stylish and hart thrilling popular Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle. I have ridden this handsome one and crazy fan of this bike and went to have this road master as soon as possible. In Bangladesh, because of having cc limitation I have to side my dream now. From one of my friends I got to know that “Bajaj is going to introduce new model of cruisers in market”. Few days letter I watched Bajaj Avenger 150 Street in showrooms. I found outlook similarities with Royal Enfield Bullet and got this model instantly from Sarkar Enterprise, Ranibazar, Rajshahi. I know Bajaj Avenger 150 Street cannot fulfill my dream but I must say this is one of the good looking modern organized models of cruiser.
If I talk about this model, at first I would like to say about its outlook. This is an attractive one. Basically, outlook of Avenger series maximum 220 cc to 150 cc models is similar, which is known as Iconic. Like ordinary cruiser it has been decorated with long tail fuel tank, round shape headlight and high front wheel then rear one. It has comfortable seat to drive long as well as its lengthy wheel base and wide tire give you control. What I feel this midnight blue color cruiser complement me.
Alongside outlook, it is also important to inform you about its 149 cc engine. This engine can generate 14.3 BPH and able to create 12.5 torque instantly. You can adjust the engine power by five steps gear box featuring one down four Ups. As far as I know, Bajaj have used their Pulsar series engine at this Avengers model. What I feel “power is not similar as pulsar but good enough to ride smoothly within the city”. Still I did not rid in long route but I believe this model would not disappoint me.
If I talk about performance and comfort I must say “like other Bajaj motorcycle known for comfort it has maintaining same reputation”. Along with its comfortable riding position and long high handle it has strong breaking system (disk brake in front wheel, drum brake in rear wheel) and wide tire. About suspension, we all know Bajaj is very much admiring for smooth sophisticated suspensions. In a world, this bike would give you full confidence to ride in urban and rural road.
Generally I do not drive fast and cruiser is also not known for speed but comfort and control. I think this model has power to run at 100 kmh. Though cruiser is not known for fuel efficient type bike but I am getting 45 kmpl. According to me it is quite good.
Driving in night would be enjoyable and safe to because of having powerful headlight and indicator light. Pillion would also feel comfort to seat; it could have better to have backrest as well as could provide more wide front tire as a cruiser bike. No doubt this is a nice looking bike but use of chrome in silencer would give more attractive look to the bike.
In our country, there is a no such road to drive long. Therefore it is important to have commuter features in the bike. Keeping this important matter in mind Bajaj has introduced Avenger 150 Street in Bangladeshi market. To me this is one of the perfect combinations of cruiser and commuter bike with attractive outlook and design at affordable price. I would like to give 8 out of 10 to my Avenger 150 Street. In final, if you are looking for bikes that will not only give you the feel of cruiser but also provide the service of commuter bike. Then you can have this model at your selection list.
