Bajaj Pulsar Double Disk user review by Shimul Rana

I learned to ride motorcycle through TVS Metro 100cc in the year of 2012 and that motorcycle was one of my friends. Just after learning bike riding, my eagerness saw the top level of having my own motorcycle; this is why I started to ride a Chinese motorcycle. That bike was Freedom but I can’t recall the model of that motorcycle right now. Whatever, I was used to with that bike around a long 6 years and then I noticed excellent bikes of Bajaj in the market specially, I have an extra attraction to the Pulsar. At the same time, I have to move on Dhaka due to study purpose where I used to with CBZ and Metro and these were the bikes of my office and by considering all, my mind was always stick to with “Bajaj Pulsar UG5/Twine Disc.

One of the key reasons to purchase this motorcycle is, its structure and Design is just excellent in my eyes. Heavy suspensions, Wide tyres along with ultra modern Design attracted me so closely that I cannot but to go with this one as my personal one. So I started to read the reviews on this motorcycle in different websites and keep my search on, I found User Reviews in MotorcycleValley same time, many more reviews in Indian websites as well, where I found the Pulsar is very much positive as a personal motorcycle. So at last I determined myself to purchase Pulsar and I did it. One of the most amazing matters on Pulsar is, its Engine vibration is almost zero and same time, I am having Split seating position in this motorcycle. Before I made my decision with Pulsar UG5, I compared this one with previous Pulsar. The result I notice in these 2, UG5 just taken my heart away that I can’t even move my decision with any others.

Its Engine is very much smoother than the previous Pulsar as because the current one has nothing like vibration and this matter inspire me to make my decision with it. Just after running my motorcycle first 300 kilometers I changed the engine oil and very amazingly I noticed that my motorcycles Engine is become smoother and its sound become deeper. I hope my motorcycles Engine is going to be smoother and better in future after running this one in proper way.

As I have mentioned in the start that its Design is much better than the previous one in my eyes but I think it would have better if a little change could be done on this one was like, Sharee Guard and others parts. I think it would have better if previous models few parts keep on this one, I mean, this model would have a combine of the previous model and the new one in the whole design. I am not describing further as because something have to lose to gain something. In a word, I am satisfied enough with my motorcycle.

Build quality is weaker than the previous model Pulsar in my observation.
I have ridden my motorcycle 113 kilometers at a stretch and on this journey I found my motorcycle comfortable enough for me and also for the pillion because this one is made with split seating position. I like the seating position why because this one is made in split design where 3 persons cannot sit on. In a word, I am having the total advantage of having the split seating position. Handlebar has slight change from the previous Pulsar and this one is fine enough to hold on which is perfect to serve the exact comfort of riding a motorcycle.

This is very normal to ride motorcycle in night and I have to as well where I found the headlight is weaker to have the proper view. I think the headlight would have been better than as it is. One more matter company have to keep in their mind that, this model has no Kick start option so they have to serve best quality Battery in each of this models. Why because, to start the engine, good quality battery is most needed.

When to talk about the control of my motorcycle, I am having the control perfectly from my motorcycle and this one has special controlling ability because of its shape and structure. Footrest is little bit back side and its weight is slightly high which let me have the better controlling as my wish I think.

This one has over loaded braking system but I am not having the expected braking ability from this motorcycle. Front one is finely working but the rear one is not so good. I think, rear one is going to be ok just after using this one few days.

Suspensions are ok and remarkable when I have a pillion on my back but when I am alone riding this motorcycle then I have tolerate a lot of shaking. I hope this problem is going to fine after running my bike few days.
When to talk about the tyres? I am really happy with this part why because NS160 don’t have the tyres of this size. I would like serve a special Thanks to Bajaj and Uttara motors for serving such size of tyres in the UG5. If you take a look on the tyres of previous Pulsar, it will look like to you as 100cc bike. From this point of view, my Pulsar has far better tyres and I am lucky to have such Pulsar in my turn.

So far now, I don’t yet measured the mileage of my motorcycle but I think that currently I am having the mileage range of 40 kilometers or so.

I have purchased my motorcycle from “Lucky Motors” and I always serve my bike from the same showroom. So far I have measured them, they are quite nice in their service and others facilities of service.

On the other hand, when to talk about the Price of my motorcycle by considering its features and performance, then this one’s Price is exacted finely with the compare of others bikes of the same segment. I don’t have any complain on the matter of Price of my motorcycle.

If anyone is interested have this motorcycle as personal vehicle then I will suggest this one to take without any hesitation. This one is really a special one according to its price range.
