Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 user review by Riku Amir

Welcoming all the bikers my name is Riku Amir. Bike is something like a dream to all the bikers and most of the bikers loves wonder with their dream bike wherever he goes. I am not out of this system always. I love to ride motorcycle and for thiss reason I have ridden Honda CG125, Runner Duronto 80cc, TVS Stryker 125, TVS Apache RTR 150, Suzuki Gixxer 155cc (Double Disc) and so others motorcycles as well. The last one I had used is, Suzuki Gixxer 155cc (Double Disc). Now I am using Bajaj Pulsar NS160 switching from Suzuki Gixxer 155cc (Double Disc). The main reasons to purchasing Bajaj Pulsar NS160 are its Oil Cooled Engine, Aggressive look and for its Strong structure.

I have been using my current motorcycle from the last 4 months and in this period of time, I have ridden my motorcycle around 5000 kilometers. Today I am to share my riding experience with you all which I have gained in the last 4 months.

At first I think it is better to start with the Engine of my motorcycle. My motorcycle Engine is made with Oil cooled technology and so far now, I don't yet can sense any negative feelings from the engine. But I am not going to mention the engine as the perfect not but considering its overall features, Engine is good enough to talk about.



Now lets move to the matter of Design. Its design is just mind blowing. Ground clearance is more then good. Build quality is very much strong but I am sorry to say that looking glass, Horn, Gear liver rod, front disc plate and front shock absorber would have been better from the current condition in my point of view. At the same time, a guard is badly need on the oil cool radiator. You know, this can save a lot from dust, dusty water and so many pollution of the road.



I always feel the exact comfort while riding this motorcycle. Driving seating position is comfortable enough although, the pillion seating position is very disturbing. The eating position of my motorcycle is Three part and Up ride structure and I think this is the reason I never feel anything less while riding my motorcycle for a long time even riding this one on the highway, this one is equally comfortable. My motorcycle is well enough on the matter of quality and excellent enough as well to use it easily. But I always feel the need of emergency indicator. I don't feel the need of powerful headlight or fog light on my motorcycle.



When I am purchase this motorcycle, its rear wheel make me depress but I become tension free by the test ride from the users of this motorcycle. I think it is better to mention that those bikers whose height is under 5'5” they may face some trouble to have the proper control over this motorcycle. Specially when you are on the off road.

In the last month of the last year while I was traveling on the Cox'sbazar, I was able to pick up the speed of 125 kilometers per hour where I feel that this can pick up more speed.

There is no motorcycle without vibration but the point is, is that the vibration is tolerable or not? I will talk about the NS that this one has tolerable vibration and this will be. But when I was crossing the speed of 110 kilometers per hour, I felt vibration on the footrest but that vibration has gone just after riding for while.

Front disc brake supports excellently but the disc plate no way match with the size of this motorcycle. Although the rear wheel has disc brake but it support quite finely. I never feel anything like skidding. To have these all, I think tyre pressure management is must needed. Rear wheel would have been better if the tyre size is 130.

with the compare of weight and power of this motorcycle, I have to say that its front wheels suspension is very weak to balance all those. Front wheels suspension would have been more weighty even then it support nicely which is unexpected. Monoshock suspension is just excellent by which I never feel anything like disturbing.

Tyres grip is just fine enough of the both wheels. These tyres are equally effective in the both on and off road. I don't yet feel anything like skidding but if you want the same performance from your NS160 then you maintain the proper tyre pressure and brake.

According to the ability of this motorcycle, I think its mileage is workable why because I am having the mileage of 35-38 kilometers per liter of Octen while riding on Dhaka and 45+ while on the highways.

Very few of the servicing center understand the facility of the NS160. Most of the technician is not familiar with the function of the NS160 and this is very much irritation as a general bike user. Most of the servicing center looking for money and profit and never try to gain the customer satisfaction. They just try to fix the problem somehow. By facing all these I have switches 6 servicing center so far. Among those servicing center I felt much better while on the “Ajad Agency” located in the Karwan bazar why because they are willing to serve the customer in the proper way in my point of view. Very recently I paid a visit to the Model Workshop of Uttara Motors located in the Tejgaon to solve a very tiny problem. I am happy to mention then as good enough sincere to all the customer. This is really a positive side. But the others service on Dhaka, I think they need proper training over the NS160 and this is emergency basis.

First, main and last word from me is, this bike is in Bangladesh with whole new features and it is the “Oil Cool Technology”. Which can be understood while traveling a long distance and also in the summer. On the other hand, by considering its outlook, style, under belly exhaust and also by the build quality, its price is nicely exacted in my point of view.

If you are thinking to purchase this motorcycle then my advice in positive way that if you are a new rider then you better not purchase this motorcycle. Same time, if your height is under 5'5” then avoid to purchase this one completely. This one need the proper care in proper way exacted time. Avoid inexperience technicians whatever happens.
