Benelli 165S 9500km riding experiences by Fahim Hosen Roni

The story of my bike riding started with Honda HS100. The time was 2002 and from that time I feel attraction towards bike and I always wanted to visit different places with bike. When I learnt bike riding properly I had bought Hero Hunk 150cc. With that bike I have visited a lot of places with other bikers and totally I ride 130000km and I was very much satisfied with that bike. After that I start finding a bike which will become attractive, performance will become good and also with latest features in reasonable price. After that I have found Benelli 165s which has recently arrived in Bangladesh and it has all the latest features also. One of my close friends has this bike and after giving test ride I feel more attraction to this bike. It is a very comfortable bike and I like its EFI liquid cooled engine, engine power, acceleration, braking etc impressed me. After considering I have purchased this bike almost 3 months ago and till now I have ride almost 9500km. During this time I have gone for several tour among then “Teknaf - Tetulia” was one of them. Today I’m going to share my experience about this bike to you and I hope it will become helpful for you.




Comfort:
I think the sitting position of this bike is the best sitting position. I have ride several hours at a time without any problem. I have ride 14 hours at a time and I don’t feel any pain in my body. I really like the sitting position of this bike.

Engine:
I’m very much satisfied with the engine performance of this bike. Especially its liquid cooled engine supports me greatly during long journey. I have ride 14 hours at a time and during this time I don’t find any lake in the performance of the engine and it performance really well. The performance of 4 valves and 3 spark plagues really impressed me. Frankly speaking the engine of this bike is the most powerful engine in this segment and it can beat other expensive bikes in this segment.

Design:
The design of this bike is enough to attract any one towards this bike. In the front side it has attractive LED headlamp which seems more attractive at night on the other hand the side and rare view of this bike is also very attractive. I’m fully satisfied with it.

Mileage:
It is a 165cc 4 Vales and 3 Spark Plagues engine bike and from this bike I’m getting 35kmpl in the city and 42kmpl on the highway. After getting this mileage from this powerful bike I must say I’m very much happy.

Control and after sales service:
The control of this bike is very good. It has CBS braking system which is very effective but first you have to know properly about this braking system because many people don’t know the exact use of this braking system. I like its braking system and suspensions of this bike and I’m very much confident that I can control this bike in any condition.

I think compare to other bikes the price of this bikes spare parts is lower than others. I have replaced some parts of this bike and after that I have understood that the price of the parts of this bike is lower than other bikes.

Bad sides:
I found problem in the ball racer of this bike and I think the quality of this is not that much good. The authority should pay attention towards this.

Though it doesn’t vibrates in the beginning but with speed it vibrates and if it vibrates little lower then it will become more comfortable.

I don’t like the design of the exhaust of this bike and I think they should develop it according to the design of this bike.

Last of all I must say, Benelli 165s is really a very good bike. Especially its engine performance, EFI system, and comfort really mentionable. Those who want to purchase this bike can purchase it without any doubt. Stay safe and ride safely. Thank you.
