Dissatisfied on engine performance – Bajaj Pulsar NS160 user Jawad Ismam

As to go with the time. We need so many things to exactly cop up with and bike is one of the demands of the time which seems like a basic demand of each family. Motorbike helps a lot specially to young generations and professionals to maintain their job even the household activity. Same time, bike as a personal vehicle is saving a lot of time of the rider ignoring the traffic of the road. My name is Jawad Ismam and I am student mainly. I have been using one of the hot cake motorcycle markets in Bangladesh “Bajaj Pulsar NS 160cc”. Before this bike I was used to with the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and I have used it near about a year. When I come to see Pulsar NS 160 then I think to switch in that bike changing my old Pulsar. I was just something like determined to have the Pulsar NS 160 And I have it and using it. as I am using this bike, I have gained so many things from this bike and today I am here at MotorcycleValley to introduce my experience with it. I hope this will be helpful enough to those who are thinking to have a bike of 160cc segment so I hope you are going to stay with me till the last.


Engine
Its engine to me is not up to the mark why because I am not having the speed that I have expected. As a 160cc Engine, I think this one has lack in Engine power as I am not having the exact speed in the scale of acceleration. I know that this bike is Oil cool even then Engine is becoming hot which is totally negative in my view. I don’t yet sense anything wrong in the sound of the engine, don’t even any negative thing in the engine. But its overall performance is not good to me and I am not happy with the engine performance.

Design and Engine Performance
Although the design of this bike is just awesome but the build quality is not so good in my view. Its body design is good looking in my view but there is a problem that if any problem occurs in my bike then it takes a long time to solve it. The plastics used on the body of my bike are not so strong enough as because I have noticed that the kits all over the body somehow moving. Quality of the switches is lower than the previous Pulsar. As a 160cc bike, these types of switches cannot be acceptable. The shape of the headlamp is just excellent in my view. It somehow looks like leopard’s head. Meanwhile, the battery is not so good same time as because I sensing negativity in the performance of the battery in just a month. By considering all, Design is ok and fine and I can’t be positive about the build quality at all.


Control and Comfort
I mainly prefer comfort while riding but from this one, I am not having the comfort that I should have as brand like Bajaj. Its seating position is good by which I can ride it with comfort but it becomes hard for me to reach the ground while sitting on the seating position. Its seat is hard by which I feel pain in my waist if I ride it for a long time and for this reason I change the seat of my bike. So far I have ridden my bike 80 kilometer a day and the most amazing matter I have noticed then that, there is no vibration in the Engine even no irritation in my body. Headlamp light is sharp enough by which I can noticed in front of me very clearly in the night. AHO technology is totally disgusting to me as because people of our country is not adjusted with such technology and so many people on the road try to notice me that my bikes headlight is on. You can easily guess that, it is not comfortable while riding my bike. Same time, AHO technology is not good for the battery as well. On the matter of control? I am not so happy with this matter as well. Especially the rear wheel is thin and I have noticed a few time that, breaking on the emergency basis rear wheel skids a lot. Front break is better than the rear one and I mostly use the front one. I have to ride my bike on the rough road condition so many times and I am happy to mention that my bikes suspension is pretty good to serve me the exact comfort in such type of road condition. I don’t have to hesitate even in the cornering. Again, it seems like to me that the front suspension is not working normally as it should be. So far I have measured the Control and Comfort of my bike, it workable.

Mileage and Service
I don’t think about the mileage actually even then I expected the mileage of 45 kilometer per liter but I am having the mileage of 35 kilometer per liter which is not satisfactory to me from any angle. I think that the mileage is going to be reduced with matter of time. I have served my bike few times and each time I have served it from the showroom. They are pretty good in their service even the technicians are good in their behavior and working ability. They listen to their customers very carefully and then start their working. But I will be happy if the mileage would have been 40 kilometer per liter.

Price and Overall
To be frank about this matter its price is just out of my imagination as because I thought that, as a 160cc bike its price is going to be heavy high but Bajaj serving it in a reasonable price and the current price is just ok and fine from my view. To make an overall mark by considering its overall features and performance, this bike cannot make me impress. I hope the momentum is going to change after using it few months more.
