Hero Honda Splendor Plus motorcycle User review by Babu

At modern days motorcycles has become one of the most important and enjoyable ride. It saves time and money for every kind of people and it is more applicable for the users who belong to a village. From the childhood I always saw my father riding motorcycle and for this reason I always wanted to ride a bike. In our village roads commuter bikes are very popular for the off roads. I had learned riding motorcycle after passing my SSC exams. My father bought one of the most popular commuter bike named Splendor Plus at the year 2010. After I learned to ride motorbike used to use my father’s bike. It has been three years I am riding this motorcycle I have gathered lots of experience about this motorcycle. Now from bellow the lines I will share my experience about this bike.

Looks and Design:

Splendor Plus motorcycle is not so stylish but carries a decent looks which can attract any kind of rider who loves to use commuter category motorbikes. This bike contains straight and handsomely made chassis which can carry three passengers easily. Glowing and handsomely finished color combination makes those things more charming without any doubt. So in our village perception I am totally satisfied with the looks because it is not a sports bike.

Engine performance:

Hero Honda always maintains their class at the engine side of their product.. Most of the Splendor Plus users are pleased with the engine performance of this motorcycle alongside me. This motorcycle is formed with 97.2cc 4-stroke single cylinder OHC engine. This engine is able to produce excellent max power of 5.5 Kw (7.5 Ps) at 8000 rpm and torque of 7.05 Nm @ 5000rpm and because of this type of power and torque riders can have better performance without any uncertainty. I am using this motorcycle for past three years in my own experience I have got the performance with this bike as I expected than the other bikes I have ride. Engine sound of this motorcycle remains the same after almost six years which is good sign. This is the most pleasant thing which I loved about this bike.

Controlling experience:

At the village riders don’t feel so much comfortable at all but in my personal opinion controlling and handling this motorcycle is very trouble-free at the village roads so at the city roads riders can have more better travelling experience with this bike. I use this motorcycle for traveling in short roads and in my experience this motorcycle is easy to control for its straight and simple design because this bike is not so heavy or so light weighted at all. Because this bike holds good dimension and ground clearance controlling side is much better it is fittest for every kind of roads. My father used to travel with this bike at the long journeys and in his opinion it’s good. I had travelled 120 KM in a day and thing it is perfect as a commuter bike.

 Top Speed and mileage:

Commuter bike always provide good mileage we all know and my bike is also able to do so. I am totally satisfied with the mileage of this bike. From the very beginning this bike is always best at its mileage. This bike has given me 60 KM/L mileage and I personally calculated the mileage. This bike doesn’t let down me at the top speed. I have got 80 KM/H mileage.

Suspension and braking:

I would say Braking and suspension are very important part of a motorbike because with it the safety of a rider depends. At this motorcycle both these features are really well and both are very effective I am not so satisfied because it could be moiré better. At the brakes this motorcycle contains both Drum brakes at the both side at our city roads they work very well and but it could be better if it contains one Disc Brake. Suspensions of this bike are helpful; this bike has Hydraulic, Telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers suspension at the front side and Swing arm with hydraulic shock absorber at the rear side of this motorcycle. This type of suspension helped me at different roads and provided good riding experience.

Pros:

- Controlling is really well.

- Better-quality performance of the engine.

Cons:

- Narrow tyres.

- No electric start.

Nothing to say special but it can be said this bike had given me better performance than the other commuter motorcycles for sure. As commuter category bike it has combination of good power and speed. I am completely pleased with it.
