Honda CB Hornet 160 R user review 50000km by Istiak Kabir

I have been using Honda CB Hornet 160cc from the last 3 years. When I purchased this motorcycle, it was the first and only 160cc motorcycle of Honda in the Bangladeshi market then. I have shared so many experiences with my Hornet through MotorcycleValley. Today I am to share 50k kilometers riding experience with my Hornet and I hope you are going to be clear about the performance of the Honda Hornet after long use. There is hardly any Honda Hornet Single Disc model on the market now but there are many more updated model of Hornet available in the market right now. The difference between those bikes is a little bit with my one as like the bs4 engine, graphics changes, and a little bit of interior changes. As I share this review with you I think you will have a much better experience about Hornet bikes and the misconceptions will go away.

First of all, I would like to say that there are some good aspects of this bike which are intact even after riding 50,000 kilometers
Very comfortable bike to ride. I have come a long way in this 50,000 km ride with the bike and the bike has really given me a lot of support and I have to say that the Hornet is actually a very comfortable bike.

I also like its control very much. Even after riding 50,000 kilometers, I did not feel any bad feeling or loss of control of the bike. 50,000 km from the control side, I got very good feedback.

The performance of the engine has seemed right to me so far. I am satisfied with the engine performance by riding 50,000 km.
Mileage! It’s incredible that even after I’ve done 50,000 kilometers I still having the mileage from this bike at 45 kilometers per liter in the city and 50 kilometers per liter on the highway. Good mileage can be expected from a 160cc bike if it is driven without high revs. I ride very normally which is why I get so much good mileage and I have noticed that when I do high rev the mileage of this bike decreases a lot but now the way I am riding the mileage is incredible 50. I am very satisfied with the mileage.

This time I said some bad aspects of the bike that I felt after running 50,000 kilometers:

The engine performance of the bike is fine but the taped loses very quickly. Which results in a faulty sound coming from the bike’s engine. Other aspects of the engine are fine, but you may know that an engine loses a little bit of performance after running 50,000 kilometers, but I don't think the Hornet is anything like that. Only the sound of the taped made me feel a little bad.
Ignoring these problems I can solve others from the servicing center so I am not going to mention those as problem or like issues.

The parts I have changed in the 50,000 kilometers:

Chain set once
Air filter 5 times
Front and rear break shoe 2 times
Spark plug 5 or 6 times

I have changed the engine oil countless times. Currently I am using Mobileone 10w40 Synthetic. The performance of the engine oil is really good to me and I always prefer this one for my motorcycle.

After riding my motorcycle 50,000 kilometers, I merely can sense anything bad in my bike. I personally think that if I take care and service my motorcycle properly in time then it is going to serve me its best performance whatever the bike is or no matter how far I have ride the motorcycle.
