Honda CB Hornet 160R user review by Mehedi Hasan

Few days ago when I was on a tour Natore to Chapai nawabganj, I met with the Team MotorcycleValley in the middle of the way. It is better to mention in the same time that our meeting was a sudden circumstances as I met with them while I was resting. It is really exciting for me to share my bikes review through team MotorcycleValley why because this is the first I am having chance to share my bikes review.

My name is MD. Mehedi Hasan Mithun and professionally I am a businessman. My bikes name is Honda CB Hornet 160cc. From last a month I have been using this bike and ridden 2000 kilometers without any accident. Before this bike, I was used to with the Bajaj Pulsar 150cc and Apache RTR 150cc in same flow, current one is the 3rd bike of my life. I am used to with motorcycles from a long time ago and I chosen the current one mainly to ride fast on the road why because, wherever I go in any edge of Bangladesh, Motorcycle is the only ride i use. To be frank on this matter, Motorcycle is my daily company. I can’t even pass a day without my bike. Same time, i never let any bike go without picking up its top speed. But my current bike let me feel exceptional whenever I hold its acceleration which I never felt in my Apache RTR and Bajaj Pulsar. Meanwhile, its look is so attractive that many people wonder to its beauty whenever I am on the road with this one. This is the direct prove of its outstanding design.

It is good to mention that, when I am on the showroom to have new bike, I was totally unprepared to accept this one. My intention was actually to have a new bike but its design don’t let me to see something else then this one. Its big size fuel tank gives it a whole new shape from the others and this look is really exceptional and just excellent. I have noticed that plastic parts over its body are really nice to look at even those are pretty strong which going to support me for a long time I think. Same way others parts are equally strong in my view.

My bike can pick up the exact speed in very short time meanwhile, I have noticed that along with the good Design of my bike, its build quality is pretty strong. So far I think this one has such a design which is going to be fit with the young stars nicely.



Its Engine performance is really extra ordinary and powerful. I hardly seen any bikes Engine performance like this ones. Nothing can stop its pace. Same time, Engines sound is pretty smooth as it should be as a bike of Honda. I think the Engine going to be perform far better if the engine oils quality is higher. I don’t even feel anything less even after riding this bike for a long time. I hope my bike is going to perform the same in the future as well. But Apache RTR’s engines sound was heavier to me than my current bike.

Mileage is one of the important part of a bike. When I am to purchase this one from showroom, they inform that this bike will serve the mileage of 45 – 50 kilometers per liter but i don’t yet measured the exact mileage. I always keep the fuel tank fully loaded. Same time, I prefer the performance at the first each time. But I don’t have any complain on the matter of mileage.

Its seating position is special one to me which let me feel the exact feeling of riding a bike with heavy specification. Its seating position was another reason to choose this one as my personal bike why because I have to ride often with 2 pillion on my back. Handlebar is nicely combined with the seating position by which I never feel any tiredness even by holding the handlebar very long time. Its suspension is just up to the mark by which I can ride my bike ignoring the matter of road condition. Its disc break perform very nicely and for this reason I never have to think about the situation of traffic or the road condition. Same time, tyres grip is fine enough to have the exact control and i hardly feel any skidding due to the good grip of the tyres. At the same time, i have checked out the headlight in the night and I found the headlight pretty good enough to have the clear view of my front like day light.

Switches on the handlebar are pretty nice in quality. I never feel any problem to use those even on the night. I have ridden this bike around 200 kilometers in a day and picked up the top speed of 110 kilometers per hour. I can say that this bike is a nice one to make any long tour and from this point of view, it can be said that this one is comfortable bike. I always have the clear look of my back via the looking glass and by considering its overall performance, its price is good enough in my view. Some people may think that, 160cc bikes of others brands cheaper than this one but you should remember that, quality product has quality price.

I have been to the servicing center just for once and I am happy to see the environment of the servicing center. I was there actually to serve the problem in the chain set as the chain set looses its exact tightness very frequently.

At the last i want to say that, if you are looking for a bike to go long way with then you can be serious about Honda CB Hornet 160cc. This one is the best among the bikes of same segment for making any type of long tour. Same time, others performance including the Engine is just up to the mark by which I never can find out any problem ignoring the matter of chain set. From this point of view, I will suggest this one if you are looking for bike of such quality and features. I am taking an end to my review by Thanking all specially to Team MotorcycleValley.
