Honda CB Hornet 160R user review by Oli Ahad Khan

Hello brothers! Hope you guys are doing well, I am Ali and today I am here to share few words about another bike. I beg of pardon if any mistakes are seen. After having the permission of 165cc limit many different companies brings their new segment bikes for us. Among them pulsar NS, RTR 160, Honda CB Hornet 160, KPR 165 are remaining at the top of the list. Today I am going to discus about one of the most talked 160cc bike named Honda CB Hornet. In here good sides, bad sides my very own few experiences will be included.

Honda brings this bike at the 160cc segment, its muscular body; excellent outlook and extra ordinary back light make the difference between this bike and others. 140mm rear tire is very helpful for effective and safe braking. But few bad sides are also found at this bike which was never expected from such a renowned brand like Honda. So let us discuss about those good and bad sides of Honda CB Hornet.

Advantages
1. Body parts of this bike are available, because of this reason during servicing users didn’t have to worry a lot.
2. According to me the controlling of this bike is outstanding. Within a very short radius this bike can be turned which is an important thing about controlling.
3. I must say the brakes are tremendous and the 140mm wider rear tyres are very helpful while sudden situation braking. I have ride with this bike at cats and dogs raining condition but I have got good performance from the braking.
4. This bike comes with tubeless tyres which is one of the most demandable features of this time.
5. This bike has perfect pillion seat, at least you don’t have to hear few words from your family while riding with them.
6. As a Honda product this bike has popularity inside the local market so the resell value must be good I guess.
7. Many rider uses extra Holler or muffler to get smoother or more bolder sound but this bike comes with decent sound which can satisfy all so no extra added thing is required.
8. This bike has awesome speed, and I truly like the throttle response. During my rides I have made few important overtakes which was really required and I have got great response. Though I never cheeked the top sped but I must say this bike can easily pass through 120-122 KM/H speed at least.
9. Honda has invested not only money but also they invested their important time for the design, I have to admire this bike has a personality of its own self. The tanker is really holds a muscular shape indeed.
10. As 160cc motorcycle this bike is fuel efficient.
11. For this bike Honda used full digital meter panel and this meter includes Fuel gauge, trip meter, Speed meter, RPM meter, Techo Meter, and most importantly a clock.
After riding this bike I have found few problems in it so let us discuss about those now.

Disadvantages
1. Though the bike has outstanding outlooks but the build quality is not up to the mark to me. While riding this bike I have noticed this bike has low quality body plastics and they can be break down any time.
2. The used headlamp for this bike is not satisfactory at all, it is short of power.
3. I didn’t like the chain set of this bike at all. I didn’t realize why they use this chain, only for better speed?
4. For the rear suspension Honda has used Mono shock suspension but that thing is not effective at all. After riding for 200 kilometers my back and hips were literally dead.
5. Riding seat of this bike is very harder to seat on it, I think seating on it and seating in a stool is the same. This seat can easily damage the hips of the rider that I can say.
6. I felt little bit of vibration though it is not a big issue but it can became a big problem while high speed riding.
7. I didn’t like the looking glasses; I cannot see the backside of mine properly while riding. I think low quality glasses are used for this bike and for that the rear objects seems like trembling.
8. Engine gets over heated very early of this bike. After riding for 100 kilometers the engine was so heated that I began to worry and I stopped the bike. Even the tanker sides also get heated because of the engine.
9. Though the engine sound is very smoother and good to hear but after the engine gets heated sound changes.
10. The indicator lights are not flexible at all. Any time they will break down. Nowadays most of the bikes hold flexible indicators but this bike didn’t have that.
11. The handle placing is little bit troublesome. Riding for long grabbing this handle might cause hand pain and I have felt it personally after riding for 100 kilos.
12. Low quality switches are used for this bike, after using the horn switch for a while the thump of mine started to pain. I didn’t expect this kind of switches from Honda.
13. This bike doesn’t have any engine kill switch or headlamp switch.
14. No rear tyre gourd is found at this bike, so I have to buy that personally and placed it.
So these were the problems of Honda CB hornet, these problems or sayings may vary with others because it is my very own opinions.

Not everything but the harder rear suspension and the riding seat remind me of a sad song of Haider hossoin and I hope every hornet user will say the same thing. Many users change the rear suspension which is not a good thing I guess.

Every bike comes with few flows and if those can be solve by the rider by their own need then it can offer excellent performance. But one thing I have to say if Honda gives their attention to these problems then the users might not face the difficulties which they are facing now. Another interesting thing is when I ride the hornet in India I feel much better than the Bangladeshi one. So if the authority cut off the differences then the demand will increase more in our country.

Finally I would like to say Hornet is a first-rated bike according to the price. So I hope the manufacturing company will solve the remaining problems of this bike and make it better.
