Keeway RKS 100 22000KM user review by Tanvir Mehedi

Keeway RKS 100 V1, I have purchased this bike at 13th march 2015 from the main Speedoz Showroom located at Mohakhali Dhaka. Alongside daily travel sometimes speeding and touring with my bike is my leisure activity. Like this way I have passed two years with my bike and it has run 22000 kilometers. By this time my experience level also increased a lot with my bike. I have taken sufficient time to verify this bike and I will be honest sharing those experiences. Hopefully you will like my sayings.



I personally celebrate every anniversary with my bike by taking one picture just I did when I bought this bike. After three years I have also done the same thing. I do this thing just for showing the changes of my bike which makes me happy. I have joined BD Keeway Riders group and with them I have made 100, 200 and 300+ Kilometers journey. For long ride I think this bike is perfect, I have driven this bike with pillion for more than an hour but engine does not get over heated.

After the break-in period the more I ride my bike, the more I become surprised. It is a 100cc bike but no vibrations at all at 80 KM/H speed. Other bikes gave up after 80 + speed but this bike can speed up to 93 KM/H speed. I have got 0-60 KM/H speed within 10 seconds on that time it was carrying 85 KG weight + Half Tanker Fuel+ Mono Shock Suspension. I think this bike can provide this speed within 7 seconds if someone planned to do, just need better preparing for that. This bike has better control, Brakes, Gripping and most importantly it can be controlled and stopped easily whether it is on good speed or not.



With my bike I have fulfilled my old dream at 10th may 2016. With my cousin Nahid I had made a trip from Dhaka- Potenga- Cox’s Bazar. This tour was for 4 days and within these days we have traveled 1125 Kilometers. Even in one day we have take a trip of 475 Kilometers. Within this time I didn’t faced any difficulties with my bike. That 18 Hours long tired full but exciting journey will always be remembered.



I always want to check my bikes top speed but because of many reasons that job remained unfinished. When my bike was at 13000 Kilometers of age that incomplete job was done. One day with a brother from our rider group I reached the Airport road for racing. On the first try I got 93 KM/H speed and after that 96 KM/H. on that time I thought something is going to happen and I was shocked on that time when I saw the speed meter is indicating 100 KM/H speed.




From the begging to until now I am getting 45-50 KM/L mileage at the city roads and at the highways it is 50-55 Km/L. But with my bike tires time also rolled on and when bike reached 15000 Kilometers it started to offer me low mileage than before. Black smoke started to come out from the exhaust pipe. I was tensed after seeing this and I took my bike to the central servicing center and the head mechanic said, “Piston is alright but need to change the Valve”. Total mileage at the indictor was 18000 so I thought it is usual because the engine still remains perfect and I become stressed free. According to the company policy they fixed that problem for free. One thing I must say after sells service of Keeway is very satisfactory and Customer Orient.




At present this bike has completed 22000 kilometers and within two and a half years without the regular parts like Chain Set, Brake Pad/Shoe, and Air Filter only the engine Valve was changed. Still the Piston and Clutch plate is performing. Still now I am getting 100 KM/H Speed and 45-50 KM/L mileage. Just the acceleration reduced a little but it is not a problem for me. This bike comes with great build quality which is really durable, for few times my bike has fallen but nothing to worry about. That’s why I always say I am pleased with my bikes performance.

As I said I am using this bike for two and a half years, for this reason few things really catch my eyes of this bike and you can also say those are the good sides of my bike. They are dashing look, supper speed and awesome controlling with great comfort. On the other hand I have also found some worst thing and they are, low seat height, Poor Headlamp and low quality rear suspension. One thing I must say this bike didn’t have smoother sound but it can be ignored if you think about the performance of this bike.




Finally I would like to say this bike is perfect for those who want stylish and amateur bike, without daily ride want to have some fun sometimes and want to ride at the highways as well. This bike can be suitable for city traffics and it can also provide pain free journeys at the highways. You will get mileage and speed both together at this bike. Safety functions and modern features will raise your confidence of you riding.

For every user I want to say, bike is a mechanical device and its performance depends on the quality brand and proper maintenance. That is why tune-up your bike regularly according to the manual provided by the company and have enjoyable performance from your bike.
