KEEWAY RKS 150 user review by Tanveer Ahamed

Assamualikum, my name is Tanveer Ahamed(age22) and I am a student of Daffodil international university. I am Keeway RKS 150 user. This bike has reached 10000 kilometers at the mileage counter that is why I am trying to make public a user review by my own.

Intro
I was not able to ride a motorbike, not even a bicycle. Like others I did not hold a dream to have my own bike from my childhood. It was almost the end of 2015, to reach my university I have to leave for Dhanmondi everyday but it was very difficult to reach on time because of traffic jam and for me it was very disgusting. Since then I was finding a solution for my problem. At first I thought I will buy a bicycle but I am too much heavy and for this I left that thought. I was not ready to have a personal car at that time so my decision goes with a motorcycle. After making my decision I started to learn bike riding and within two hours I got full control. My first bike was my elder brother and it was Honda Shine, it was January 2016 when I learned to ride a bike. After learning bike riding I practice for few days and started to ride Yamaha Fazer.





Why Keeway?
When I made my mind to have a motorcycle then I thought it must have to be stylish, comfortable, fuel efficient and most importantly all these I need in my budget. From my childhood I ignore Indian products and for this reason I try to find other brands and at last I see Keeway RKS 150. At the purchasing period many people’s suggested me not to pay money for this bike because it is unknown to all but I just love this bike.,
At last 4th April I owned this bike at late afternoon.






Starting words:
At my bike first key was put inside by my father and the engine was started by my mother. It was really a joyful moment for me. When I started to ride this bike I cannot believe that it is mine. Though I am getting the same taste and flavor still now with my bike but my first day experience cannot be forgotten. For last nine month my bike has run 10000 kilometers. Now let’s talk about the good side and bad side about my bike.



Specification of my bike:




Good sides
Almost every side is good but among them most special things are,
- Awesome sports outlooks.
- Rear tire is more than enough wide (120/80-17”). I got better controlling at slippery and muddy roads.
- Rear Mono suspension is one of the best sides of this bike and within this price it is a plus point also. No pillion complained till now.
- No complains at the controlling. I never felt any problem at the turning situations.
- Front brake in fantastic.
- Plastic portions of this bike are high in quality.
- Unique engine sound cannot be compared with other and at high RMP it remains the same.
- Because this bike is light weighted and it has ready pickup, this bike can produce good speed in no time. It can go 0- 60 within 4.5 seconds and 0-100 within 12 seconds.

- No vibration at all. I did not feel any vibration even though at 110 KM/H speed. I got 131 KM/H top speed but there was no vibration.
- Engine does not heat up so much.
- I have got 42 KM/L mileage at Dhaka and outside of Dhaka 45 KM/L. during the break-in period I have 33-35 KM/L mileage.
- Large fuel tanker of 16 liters.
- All parts are available at Speedos (importer) and those are available at outside also.




After sells service
Speedos Bangladesh is the importer of Keeway motorcycles and they are giving better service. They have got a big service center at Dhaka. Without that they have on-call servicing and mobile servicing team. Outside Dhaka they have servicing centers at Rajshahi, Chittagong and Sylhet.
Still now they are not able to provide servicing at every city in Bangladesh but they are trying to provide their service through the dealers and distributors. I personally feel that heir products are better so they need to increase their servicing centers.




Bad sides
- One of the worst thing is tires are not tubeless. In Bangladeshi roads tubeless tires are very important. It can be replaced.
- Power of the bikes head light is insufficient to me but there is knob and adjusting the focus light can be used which is helpful.
- Front tire of this motorcycle is not as good as rear tire. Sometime it slips and road grip is not so better.
- This bike contains the fork lock at the neck which is not the symbol of modernity. Without unlocking this thing starting this bike will be dangerous.
- This bike is smaller and seat height can be problem for tall riders but that is not a big issue because nowadays every bike seat can be adjusted by rider’s height.
- This bike contains Drum brakes at the rear side, it would be better if Disc brakes are used instead of Drum brakes at this bike.



Tours I made:
I didn’t travel long journeys with my bike. Bellow the lines I will mention the tours I made inside Dhaka.




At these tours I have not faced any kind of troubles at all. I have completed all the tours ensuring my safety.



At last I can say, people will like RKS 150 very badly. That person who loves speed with comfort, this bike is for him. I have a request to those people who thinks Chinese bikes are useless; please ride this bike for once.
