Lifan KPR 150 24000km riding experiences review by Shovon Bosu

I am Shovon Bosu, Borguna in the birth place of mine. Right now I’m staying at Bhola and work in Bangladesh Police. Today I’m going to share my 24000+km experience about my Lifan KPR 150cc in 3 years.

In 2017 I have seen the review of Lifan KPR 150cc in BikeBD youtube channel and like this bike. After that 21st February of 2017 I have purchased that bike from Barisal Bangladesh Motors without any test ride.



My house was 50km far from the showroom. First I went to the pump and fill my fuel tank and started journey towards my house. If you ask me about my feeling of that time then I must say this kind of feeling I rarely get in my life. Maintaining brake in period I ride slowly with joy and heading towards my house. After that my journey started. First 2000km I have tried to maintain braking period. Day by day the performance of this bike impressed me and I start fall in love with it. The major reason behind love this bike is it is a sports bike and from my childhood I like sports bike and it is a sports bike in reasonable price.

After that I started gathering information about the maintenance of this bike from the users of this bike and ride it carefully. Because of it is the first bike of my life so there was a lot of things that I didn’t know and in this case the members of club KPR help me a lot. Over all it is an excellent bike.

Till now I have got 130kmph top speed and with pillion 122kmph. The most interesting thing of this bike is its ready pickup 0-100 response which can beat any bike of 150cc segment. I don’t feel any vibration on that speed and on high speed the performance of this bike is also very good.

If you ask me about the braking of this bike then I must say the braking of this bike is the best in this segment. Dual disc in front it has 300mm disc which works effectively. That’s why I can pick high speed without any hesitation because I know that I can control my bike easily in any condition.

Good sides:
The look of this bike is the best look in the budget.
The engine of this bike is very powerful.
14.8HP and 14 torque.
Liquid cooled engine and because of this I never found any lack of performance during long journey.
Beside engine performance the mileage of this bike is also very good. I’m getting 45kmpl in the city and 38kmpl in the highway. With this kind of throttle response I don’t expect more mileage and I’m satisfied with it.
Because of its LED projection head lamp it seems different from other bikes.
The controlling and braking of this bike is very good and cornering availability is also good.
Bad sides:
Low turning radius.
In jam I feel extra hit during traffic jam.
Personally I’m comfortable with the sitting position of this bike.
I don’t like the performance of the rare mono shock.
Chain gets lose frequents and after every 500km I need to tight it.
Once I found problem in my rare brake and I informed it to the service center. They told me to send the caliper of brake through courier and I did it. They solved the problem and I got it back after I week.

Several time I give long tour and on highway the performance of this bike impressed me. Ready pickup, excellent braking and liquid cooled engine gives me great performance. Though I feel tired during long journey but I don’t find any lack of performance in my bike.

According to its look, brake and control I must say it is the best bike in this segment. During brake in period I used Mineral engine oil Castrol 20W40 after that I use synthetic engine oil Motul 7100 10W40. After every 2200-2500 I change engine oil. Till now it never disappointed me rather every time I got better performance.

I never face any major problem in this bike. Till now I don’t find any problem in the engine of this bike and the bolt of the engine of this bike seems new because they are still untouched, still I don’t need to open them.



I have modified my bike a little. I have modified the sticker of this bike and installed Hornet’s suspensions in this bike. For extra brightness on the highway I have installed fog light. I also installed security device but later I uninstalled it.

I’m using this bike for 3 years and till now I have changed the air filter for twice, changed the clutch cable once, spark plague twice, chain sprocket and rare disc once. And I have got solution of every minor problems.
