Price is high - Bajaj Discover 125 user Selim Ali

Motorcycle is getting the most popular vehicle to Bangladeshi people because with a bike you can move as fast as you want and have all the pleasure of your ride. I welcome all to my writing, I am MD.Selim Ali and I am from Dastanabad, Natore. I do business and for my business purpose I have to ride bike everyday but I am not a professional bike. At present I am using Bajaj Discover 125 and for make my communication easier I have bought this bike for both my business and family purpose. I am using this bike for two years and I have gone pass 17000 kilometers at the meter. Because of that reason today I am here to share few bad and good findings of mine bout this bike.

This bike is the second one which I am using, before it I have used Dayang 100 but I didn’t like the performance that much. After thinking a lot I have bought this bike. When I bought this bike I haven’t got the chance to read several review and I have to go for my personal choice. So I am thanking team motorcycle valley for representing my review in front of you all and hope it will be at help for those whom are interested to buy this bike. Though my first bike disappointed me but this one is giving me great performance. I have to say that I have got the same bike which I wanted. I didn’t choose this bike only because of its performance design and build quality was also the two big reasons. I think the design is more than perfect as a commuter. Not only that but also the build quality of this bike is also pleasing, every single body parts and the overall body plastic is really hard and durable, they will not going to break down that easily I guess. So I have no complaints with these both and most importantly I realize that this bike is suitable for every age rider.


Now let us come to engine performance. I personally think as a 125cc bike the power output of the engine is perfect. It can easily gets up to 100 KM/H speed or I must say within a flash. Engine sound is heart touching for me and like the other commuter bikes there is no annoying sound at it. But after riding a while engine gets heated and I found a noise at the chain set. That is a not a big reason to worry I think and I love the performance and till now I am enjoying. Another output of the engine which satisfied me is the mileage. When I bought this bike I was told that I will get 50-60 KM/L mileage and I am getting that. I expected it from this bike and I am not disappointed.

Controlling of this bike is also satisfactory because the front Disc brake works perfectly and I can have good control over my bike because of it. Though I feel little bit of shaking at the top speed but I don’t care about that because I haven’t faced any problems because of it. I never ride my bike at high speed so why should I bother? So I am satisfied with the controlling.

Now I want to say how I feel riding this bike. According to my opinion this bike is really a comfortable bike for riding. Even you can ride this bike with two pillions with you. Seating position for both the rider and pillion is comfortable and soft. I like the seat because I can easily move with my family without facing any discomfort and it also one of the semi reasons to buy this bike. Seat height is also perfect and I can have full balance over my bike by putting the both feet on the ground. During night rides I haven’t faced any problems using the switches placed at the handle bar because they are easy to operate and good looking as well like the handle bar which is itself a beauty. No lacking at the electrical support, especially the headlamp produces surplus light which clears the road in front of me and I can easily ride my ways. I might clear few things, though the suspensions are good but at the off road conditions they cannot perform that much so I feel shaking a little bit, but no lacking at the controlling because of it. On the other side I feel pain in my hand when I ride my bike for a while at good speed. Once I have made 200 Kilometers ride with my bike and I feel back and wrist pain. Looking glasses of this bike offer me clear view of my back which helps me for relaxed riding. On the whole this bike offer good controlling undoubtedly and I is also a comfortable bike for riding.

As I mentioned before I faced problem with chain set but without that I didn’t faced any bigger problem with my bike over the two years. But the chain set makes really annoying sound which I don’t like at all. I visited the servicing center for fixing this problem and I didn’t like the way they performed. After few days the same problem again generates. But their environment is good enough and they are well equipped.

One thing I didn’t like at all about this bike is the price, I personally think based on the features and their performance the price is way higher and need to be lessened.

Good sides: Low fuels cost, excellent engine performance, good design and strong build quality, comfortable for riding.

Bad sides: High price, not for long journeys, bad noise at the chain set.

Finally I would like to say to those peoples whom are thinking to have a 125cc bike can easily buy this bike for its mileage, without that the engine performance is also pleasing. I am not saying these because I am using, this is the truth. Considering the performance you can go for it though the price is high.
