Price should be reduced – Yamaha FZS Fi user Alamgir Kobir

I have learned bike riding with Dayang 80 cc bike, on that time this bike was well known as an 80cc bike. Time changes and so do my bikes, after Dayang 80 I used, Hero passion, discover 135, then Hero iSmart and finally along with Hero iSmart I am using “Yamaha FZS Fi v2”. I bought this bike mainly for long rides because I love to travel at long distances. Nowadays whenever I went for a long ride I took my Yamaha FZS Fi V2. Today I am going to share all my riding experiences with this bike trough motorcycle valley.


I am MD. Alamgir Kobir and I do business and I am also a proud owner of Yamaha FZS Fi V2. One year ago I bought this bike from the well known Yamaha motorcycle dealer of Rajshahi “KR Bike Center”. Without facing any difficulty I have crossed 6800 kilometer with m bike. Now bellow the lines I am going to share all the good and bad findings of mine about this bike.

Engine
Though the power of the engine is shorter than the previous model but the performance is excellent. No bad sound because it runs very smoothly. I will ask for more engine power because on the highways when we have to overtake the big rides then it is required to have good power in your vehicles engine. Yamaha FZS Fi V2 cannot offer that much power. After crossing 80 KM/H speed the engine has nothing to offer. So it must be fixed.

Design and Build
Talking about the design I think it is decent but there are lot more spaces to improve at. Within this kind of price range this design is not up to the mark but the build quality is strong enough to offer durability. I am satisfied with it.

Comfort
I will say that this bike is one of the best comfortable bikes in Bangladesh. For long rides this bike is specially made I think though it is my own thought, because while your ride you will have no bad feelings, even you are sitting at the riding seat for long time. Seating position is good for both the pillion and the rider, handlebar is straight and the switches placed on it are also easy to use and good looking, but one thing I must say that I am disappointed with the headlamp and battery. Headlamp cannot offer sufficient light at the dark night roads and the battery quality is very poor. Both are need to be improved.

Control
I will rate this bike ten on ten at the controlling. It can be controlled at any conditions and any kind of roads. I have personally raised the speed up to 115 KM/H speed and with pillion I have got 110 KM/H. at the very begging this kind of speed was offered from the engine but now I found 105 KM/H max, but the controlling remains the same even I am riding at the high speed. Braking also performs well and they don’t lock the rims that’s why no skidding from the tyres. Suspensions are well capable to offer comfort and absorb shaking at both village and city roads.

Mileage
As a 150cc bike I think the mileage is standard of this bike. Because I am getting 41 KM/L mileage now though I ride my bike on good speed and it has to carry a lot of weight on it. I never bothered with the mileage.

Service center
After visiting the servicing center I was so disappointed. I can even imagine they will offer me this kind of worst service though they are well reputed brand. Once I visited there and they behaved very rude and their service quality was really poor so I never went there anymore.

Price
Based on the performance, quality and features I think the price is little bit above the mark which it should be. According to my opinion the price should be around TK 200000 to TK 220000 because of the design and performance of this bike.

Good sides
- Excellent controlling.
- Comfortable bike.
- Fantastic handle bar to ride with.

Bad sides
- Worst service center.
- Low top speed.

Finally I would like to request to reducing the price and recruit more capable technicians at the service centers.
