From my childhood I like motorcycles. I hallways had an attraction over bikes and at present I am using my very own motorcycle Suzuki Gixxer SF 155. Before this one I have used many bikes like Pulsar, Discover, R15, Fazer etc but all those were not mine. Though I have used different motorcycles at different times but I had learned bike riding at a TVS motorcycle.
For the last five years I am using Pulsar UG 3 150. But now I wanted to use a different bike which will offer me great comfort so I might say that is also the reason behind purchasing Suzuki Gixxer SF. Without that I am pleased with the engine performance and balancing of this bike. As I am a student so comparing the price and performance of this bike I never felt disappointed and I think this bike is a really better one for using. Luckily I am having good time with my bike.
Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 is completes all the demands of mine so without any hesitation I bought this bike. Now I am in the break-in period so this words which I am going to share will also be consider as my first ride review.
My personal experiences or thinking about Gixxer SF:
Interesting ride:
I am always enjoying my bikes ride because I can use this bike easily and control is also easier of this bike so I enjoy my every ride. Looks are also stylish which makes my traveling more comfortable and interesting to me and others.
Looks and design:
As I said before I am really pleased with the stylish looks of this bike and I like the blue Gixxer SF personally. Design is really eye catching and every one seriously sees it. Side kits of this bike increase the charm of this bike a lot. I personally heard from peoples that they do like the design. I personally didn’t like one thing at the build design and that is the rear footrest. Because when a pillion place their feet on it the whole pressure goes on the silencer.
Based on comfort:
Gixxer SF is really a comfortable bike I guess. Seating position and the seat height for the rider is perfect but the pillion seat is not comfortable enough. After seating on it for a long time it is really uncomfortable. As I am in the break-in period so I have accelerated this bike up to 60 KM/H speed till now and I felt no problems. But I think because the bike is new so it is getting heated earlier. Switches placed at the handle bar are also comfortable for using but the high low switch of the headlamp is really tighter and I feel discomfort while using it.
I also like the controlling of this bike because I can have good balance over it all the time. Suspension of this bike is actually effective and at the broken roads or speed breakers I never felt d any problem at all. But at the village type of roads little bit of shaking is felt by me. Two things I forget to say and that is after riding for a long time I feel pain in my shoulders, but for mono suspensions I think feel comfortable and safe as well.
Braking system:
At my Gixxer SF I have double hydraulic braking (Disc Brakes) and that gives me great support while my roaming. Because double hydraulics I can overcome small accidents as well. But one thing, during sudden braking conditions the rear tyre skids. I think it should have been better if the there was ABS Braking system at Gixxer SF.
Mileage:
I am not satisfied with the mileage of this bike. I am getting 30-32 KM/L mileage form my bike. When I bought this bike I was told that it will offer me 40-42 KM/L mileage if I ride with one pillion and if I ride single then it will give 45-50 KM/L mileage easily. But I am not getting any one of those so I am disappointed with the mileage of Gixxer SF.
Considering the controlling:
As I said before the controlling of Gixxer SF is perfect.
Because of that reason I always enjoy my every ride. Other bikes vibrates a lot while riding at good speed but one of the best side of my bike is tit doesn’t vibrates a lot. Tyre gripping is perfect I think and for these two things I never feel lack of control. No problems are also seen at the night time because the powerful headlamp offers me good support.
Engine:
It a Japanese sports category bike and excellent engine power is provided with Gixxer SF. Carburetor system engine and air cooling technology is seen at the engine. Electric starting option is placed at this bike for firing up the engine along with the kick start. Because of the engine power this bike can be accelerated up to 30 KM/H speed within few seconds.
The engine oil which is provided with the new bike is worst in quality. In fact I am disappointed after using it. Only after 350 Kilometers ride I have to change the engine oil.
Price:
I personally think the price range of Suzuki Gixxer SF is little bit higher and if the price gets lessen then the demand will be more of this bike.
Service center:
Environment of the service center is perfect according to me. They have lots of equipment but the engine oil they provided me was the worst one so I don’t like that part of the center.
