TVS Apache RTR 150 ownership review by Shamim Emtiaz Rimon
Alhamdulillah, now I have my own bike TVS Apache RTR 150. As I said I got chance to ride several bike but this model really made me crazy. Its white color elegant look with furious speed and superb mileage has made this model different from others in my point of view. I brought this model in 2015 and I got knowledge of riding this model for one years. Today I am going to share my experience with you. I hope it will help you to make right decision.
Motive to choose TVS Apache RTR 150
One of my friends, called Asif, had this bike. One day I took my friends TVS Apache RTR 150 and visit my aunt house near about 60 kilometers away from my town. That tour had played key roll to select this Apache RTR 150 model of TVS. I did like the outlook but after riding it I also got the knowledge about its Engine, control and most importantly comfort to ride. Besides, my friends told me about the fuel efficiency and body strength. Coincidentally in that time I was thinking to buy my bike. After considering all the factors and my riding experiences as well as budget I decided to take TVS Apache RTR 150.
Features of my Bike
Its sporty look really attracts me besides durable body structure with elegant white color as like cherry on the top of the cake. Specification of my TVS Apache RTR 150 is given below.

Before going to discuss about the details of my TVS Apache RTR 150 let’s have a look at some important matters of this model.
Pros
According to me, this sporty model has user-friendly features which provide more comfort as well as confident to the biker. Advantages of this bike are given below.
- Comfort to drive, unlike other models you do not need to band much to drive this TVS Apache RTR 150. As result it doesn’t matter how long you are going to drive. You would enjoy the drive.
- This model has good enough space to drive with your nearest one. Comfortable seat height as well as good enough space to keep the feet.
- No matter you are driving single or double control is always in your hand.
- Compare to other sporty bike Apache RTR 150 has been delivering better mileage.
- Alongside above crucial features, this is a durable body structure model with elegant look.
Cons
There are few points available that could have been better.
- Although this model has good enough control but in the case of mud road or rainy season tire become slippery that makes control little bit shaky.
- Brightness of the head light is not up to the mark it could have been better.
- After driving 16500 Km I had to replace chain set.
- Due to have less ground clearance sometimes have to face problem in the time of passing speed breaker.
Engine performance
Engine is considered as a hart of bike. This 150 cc four stock air cool single cylinder engine can generate max power 15.2 Bhp or 8500 rpm and max torque 13.1 Nm or 4000 rpm. This powerful engine can generate emergency pick 60 km plus within 5 seconds. In the case of long journey its performance is good enough to admire. I have derived 300 Km in a day. During my journey I stopped once non for bike but for me.
Mileage
Like others I am also conscious about mileage. Initially, it runs 32 to 34 kilometers per liter but now after driving more than 17000 km mileage is getting better. Now my bike gives me a mileage of 45+ km per liter within city and in highway it gives me 52 km per liter.
Control and comfort
Along with speed Apache RTR 150 models has good control too. I have experienced of running 107 km per hour with full control in highway. Its single disk braking system in front and drum breaking system in rare gives me confident to drive speedy. As I mentioned above I have long journey experience of 300 km. During my tour, unlike other bike I did not feel any back pain as well as its pillion is comfortable to seat. In the case of night journey, I have faced problem because of the lack of head light brightness. Otherwise its tell lamp and indicator light work properly.
In the case of rainy season when roads are become slippery, I face little bit problem to control. Over all I would like to give 8 out of 10 in the case of comfort and control.
Maintenance
I am very much keen to take care of my bike. According to the given instruction, I do look after my bike as well as done servicing from TVS showrooms after riding 10000 km. Moreover I used to change engine oil after 1000 km. I prefer to use mobil Visco 40 and fuel Octane with petrol in the ration of 1:2.
Overall Performance
Till now my journey with TVS Apache RTR 150 is really nice. This is a wonderful model of TVS with sporty look and right combination of control and comfort with standard price. After considering all the features I would like to keep this model at the top of the table.
