TVS Apache RTR 150 user review by Abdur Rahim

I am MD Abdur Rahim and I am a service holder. Besides my job I do business as well. So for better communication and road transportation I have chosen motorcycle as my personal vehicle. Reason behind that was fast movement. The name of my motorcycle is TVS Apache RTR 150. I am using this motorcycle for six month without facing any incidents with it. I have ridden about 13800 Kilometers path with my bike within these six months. Without this motorcycle I have also used different bikes from different companies. But I always have a dream to have a well known branded motorcycle which can carry me out really fast. I bought this motorcycle from M/S Gani enterprise which is placed Natore. When I bought this bike I was searched it in Taherpur, Puthia and Rajshahi showroom but didn’t find this model on that day and then I move to Natore Showroom. One of the interesting thing about that time was I found six models of this bike inside the showroom and five of them were almost sold because their customers were already present there. I was the last one to pick up the existing model. I was thinking if I was little bit more lately than I cannot have this bike today. Though I was going there thinking that maybe this bike is not available there as well because I have already visited three showrooms. When I arrived that the at the Natore Showroom I have no money in my pocket and on that time only one bike was remaining at the showroom so if I didn’t buy this on that time I might not get it for many days. So I made my mind, talked with the showroom manager and went to bank draw the money and take this bike home.

After using this bike for few days the chain gets loosen and at high speed I figured out the front portion of this bike vibrates a lot. These problems took place so early and that is why I become disappointed. Without wasting any time I took my motorcycle to the servicing center. They were really well behaved with me on that time though they were so busy but because I was holding a new bike so they fix my problem first. So after watching their cordiality and behavior I was pleased on them. They fix my problems within no time but after one month the vibration problem again inwards. I think this problem occurs because the head portion of his bike is very light weighted.

I personally think without a good engine you will not be satisfied riding a bike. I am truly satisfied with my engine performance. Though this bike has few problems but I forget those after having excellent engine output. I never get this kind of amazing engine performance from the engine from other motorcycles. It has really fast acceleration and even I ride with a pillion or two no changes at the power or performance. I never calculated the mileage before the tanker gets empty I fill it up so I am not bothered with the mileage and no complaints as well.

I like the design of this bike when I first saw this bike. I have nothing to say about the design because it is perfect to me. After using this bike I realized not only the design but also the body parts are also very durable and strong. Riding this bike is really comfortable and the controlling is also perfect. Because of the effective Disc brakes I can control this bike at any kind of speed. At the begging seating position was harder but now it is getting softer day by day. Combination of the handle bar and riding seat is perfect so I can have good comfort holing it. In one day I traveled 100 Kilometer and I haven’t faced any difficulties with the controlling or comfort. But one thing I have t say after crossing the speed of 90 this bike vibrates truly but only the front portion. I dislike this matter and sometimes I feel disturbed for this reason. Without this problem another disturbing thing is a bad noise is heard from the chain set. Having all these issues I gave accelerated this bike up to 104 KM/H speed though. Sometimes I ride at the night time and I have got great support from the headlamp all the time. Using the electrical switches at the handle bar I feel relaxed and no complaints. At the rough type of roads I have ride with my bike and observed carefully that I feel less shaking than the other bikes because of the effective suspension. This bike contains a powerful battery and for that no lack at the performance of the electrical. Looking glasses also offers me tension free riding because I can watch my back very easily. Tyre gripping of this motorcycle is not satisfactory because I have tested in wet roads and plain roads on both conditions they skid while braking conditions or for some other reason I don’t know exactly. Maybe it happens because the gripping is not up the mark.

When I bought this bike the price of this bike was higher but the recent price of this bike is perfect and well reduced. And for that reason the demand of this bike increased more.

Good sides:
-Powerful engine
-Good mileage I guess.
-Low price
-Good brakes and suspensions
-Excellent design
-Fast acceleration
-Powerful electrical

Bad sides:
-Problem at the chain
-At high speed head portion of this bike vibrates a lot.
-Tyre skids at the wet roads.
-Poor tyre gripping

Finally I will say this motorcycle is a good bike at the own segment. It has standard features and they are performing well but I think the company should take care about the problems of this bike as well. And I think doing that will raise the reputation the company more because those faults will not be seen anymore.
