Mainly this bike is not from the regular flow that is why people don’t take this bike in a good way. From one person I got help while purchasing this bike. However, after searching by my own and having a very few opinions I bought this bike. Recently 1000 kilometers ride is completed. Therefore I am thinking to share some words with you all about this bike.
In 80’s XCROSS MOTORCYCLE got popularity in chine. This company used to sell bikes as well as the engine. UM- United manufacturer brought those engines and rebadged those. It is better to know that as like car reconditioning Rebadging is the same. UM is not a manufacturer. And these days all those bikes are importing in Bangladesh by Runner.
So this was the genre report of this bike.
Controlling of this bike is mesmerizing, maybe because of the heavy weight. With full tanker fuel the overall body Wight is around 180 KG while the fuel tank capacity is 21 liters with reserve fuel. Comfortable seat which is called Gel Seat by UM, because they are claiming it has gel underneath the seating position. Because of that reason seating becomes very comfortable but when it stays in the sun it becomes complete disaster. Handling this bike is easier and smoother but this bike is longer in size. It has 2250 mm wheelbase. It will take at least one and a half lane space to take the U-Turn. I haven’t found the exact evidence of the front suspensions whether it is telescopic conventional or USD, but I think that is Upside down (USD). Overall the suspension is high in quality; even I have passed through the wider speed breakers but didn’t face any shaking. If the speed and gear Ratio doesn’t match then a sound came out from the chain set but riding carefully can avoid this problem. All the body parts are Metal except the side covers of the engine, they are plastics. Tool box is placed over foot peg and opening the seat a small storage is located.
Recently I am having a small problem and that is, while shifting the third gear to fourth I think it is getting more further up. I have informed this matter at the service center and they said it is a gear leaver problem which will be fixed by its own very shortly.
I am getting around 35 KM/L mileage. Following the papers this bike is 150cc and watching the catalogue I have seen that it has 149cc engine but during rides I didn’t found any difference. I think that is because at the 2nd gear this bike cross 40 KM/H speed and don’t ask for the third gear. Though I am short of biking experience but I don’t think any other 150cc bike will offer the same performance. I am asking for expert’s opinion personally. There are 6 gears in total. I used ride in the city so the max speed of mine remains 55-60 so 3rd gear is enough for me.
