Yamaha FZS Fi Version 2.0 user review by Hridoy

My first motorcycle was Bajaj Pulsar 150 which is also known as the highest selling motorcycle in our country. I have started my bike riding with this bike at the year 2008. After that I chose TVS RTR 150 as my riding partner. And now I am using one of the most trusted brand motorcycle Yamaha FZS version 2.0 Fi. After purchasing this bike I am satisfied at this moment because the blue core technology along with FI pleased me a lot.

I am Faisal Ahmed Hridoy. From my childhood I have a great fascination about motorcycles and from then I used to ride motorcycles of my family members. As I said before I used Pulsar 150 and Apache RTR 150, and after riding both those bikes I enjoyed the riding. Especially I liked the ready pickup of RTR and special performance of Pulsar. However riding one bike for long time is not my type so I changed my choice and take FZS- FI version 2. After purchasing this bike I have ridden only 3000 kilometers. I just want to share all the experience I have gathered with my new bike, there is not that much but hopefully it will help you know about this new edition.






If we are talking about Yamaha FZS version 2 then we must talk about the graphics and style of this bike first. Main reason to have this bike is for its uncommon style. This bike contains charming color combination and it looks attractive from distances. From both front and back side this bike has charming looks and for the rear back seat it looks better than the previous FZ-S model. Pillion is little bit higher than before because of the split seat and for this I feel like riding a sports bike. Headlight of this bike is really powerful; I didn’t face any problems at riding at night. I am satisfied with the headlamp. Body structure is different of this bike that’s why people stare my bike when it comes to road.





If we talk about the engine, I think there is lack of power. Previous versions contained 153cc engine and this new version has 149cc along with the cc engine power is also been reduced to 13 BHP. Though the power is engine power is reduced but when it runs at the road usage of Blue core technology is acknowledged. And for this technology this bike becomes a monster. I am satisfied with this mid range bike but it took time to get on speed at the long roads. I have reached 108 KM/H speed at the high ways. Though more speed can be lift up but because of the road condition I didn’t. Gear transmission is excellent, till now I didn’t face the problem of gear false.






At the suspension it remains the same as before and for this reason stability and balance is better at top speed. Turning can be done with great confidence but this suspension can make difficulties at the off roads.






This bike is very much fuel efficient for because of the blue core technology. This bike provides better mileage than before. Previous models gave 30-35 KM/L mileage but I am getting 40 KM/L+ mileage always. After riding this bike overall I am satisfied, fuel injection system, blur core engine, stylish design, better controlling all pleased me a lot. Without all these braking is trouble free and that’s the most important to me.







Bad sides
- Instant pickup is missing at this bike and for this it took time to get on speed.
- Pillion seat is split seat and for this pillion face problems some of the time.
- Footrest on the silencer is smaller in size which is a problem.

Good sides
- Smooth engine sound.
- Though the bike Tyre is wider than other 150cc bikes but mileage is perfect.
- Comfortable riding.
- Better ground clearance.

All my experiences with my bike are given at this article. I am hoping that this bike will give me durability and last long support. I think this bike is trouble free than the other 150cc motorcycles. I have ridden 200 Kilometers at once but the engine sound remains the same. Overall I will say this new technology is working well with this bike and I just love it. If someone asks for my ratings for this I will give 8 on 10 for this bike.
