Multi-function Negative LCD Instrument Cluster:

This multifunction negative instrument cluster comes with gear shift light indicator, VVA indicator, mileage indicator and a USB charging port stands out even in the darkest corner of the city because the LCD instrument cluster panel has a black background and white lettering. Design and handling:

The new MT DNA comes with the concept of Mass Concentration that brings in Swiftness and an uncompromising hyper naked style! Bi Functional LED headlight, Chin down face design reunion with the upright forks gives this bike a beast look which MT series is known for. The muscular round tank wears armor-like plastic resin. The short rising tail lamp, the front winglets, radiator side fins and the upright sitting position gives it an agile riding experience.

The technologically advanced Hyper Naked & dynamic bike of MT-15's V2 has active handling, wide handle position and ultra-light weight of 139Kgs like the previous model, which leaves the rider with an unimaginable riding experience. Yamaha claims its intimidating Bi Functional LED headlight, the aggressively styled MT-15 demands attention and is built to inspire today's generation of thrill seeking riders like no other bike in its class.

Engine and Transmission:

Yamaha MT15 V2 comes with 155cc Liquid Cooled 4V SOHC FI engine which generates an impressive 13.5kW(18.4PS) @10000 RPM max power and 14.1N.m @7500 RPM max torque. While it has Variable Valve Actuation system (VVA) which monitors the riders improve performance even at low RPM. The Hyper Naked performance with VVA delivers 0 - 60km/h in just 3.78 sec which is claimed by the manufacturer itself, the fastest in its class! Not only that A & S (assist and slipper) clutch is adopted to reduce the weight of the clutch pull and provide low-stress shifting during deceleration. Because of this technology clutch becomes smooth, and enjoyable during downshifts. On the other hand, The MT 15 V2 contains 6-speed transmission which allows to cruise at low RPM even in higher gears. 11.6:1 compression ratio is set for this engine and electric starting option is found to fire up.

Frame and dimension:

For the excellent rigidity balance the new MT15 V2 adopts a new Deltabox frame. Over this chassis a new attractive dimension is set for the Dark Warrior. It has Overall length of 2,015 mm, width of 800 mm, 1,070 mm Height. Seat height is set 810 mm and the Wheel base is 1,325 mm. Minimum ground clearance for this bike is measured 170 mm. Including full oil and fuel tank the Curb weight of MT 15 is 139 kg. The fuel tank capacity is 10L.

Suspensions and brakes:

For the suspension system we have seen bigger changes in this new version of MT15. Telescopic upside down Front Fork is placed for the front section and the rear suspension is marked as Linked-type Monocross suspension

For the brakes MT 15 V2 has same set up the old model. Front Disc with Bosch Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) helps in achieving improved braking performance by providing better stability and control at all speeds without any wheel lockups and skidding even in slippery conditions. Rear Disc brakes also provides good efforts for more quality braking. Single channel ABS is the new added feature for this bike which is mated with Hydraulic (282 mm) disc at the front and rear Disc measurement is 220 mm.

Wheels and tires:

On both side Alloy wheel and tubeless tires are placed. The measurement of front Wheel travel is 130 mm and the rear one is 97mm. tires size are measured 100/80-17M/C 52P at the front and 140/70-17M/C 66H at the rear side.

This technologically advanced and dynamically designed bike from Yamaha is available with 4 colors and they are, ICE FLUO-VERMILLION, CYAN STORM, RACING BLUE and METALLIC BLACK. After watching all the advanced technologies which are somewhat similar to the previous model but more advanced in some areas can be considered that this naked version will also perform and maintain the same craze like the previous Dark Warrior.
