Yamaha R15 V3 Dark Knight 2600km riding experiences by Rajib Hossain

If any bike lover is asked how you feel about the brand Yamaha? Then I think the answer will come from them “Yamaha is definitely a good brand”. This well-known brand has a very popular and special bike called Yamaha R15 version 3. Yamaha R15 V3 is in a good position among the premium bikes in the market of Bangladesh. Yamaha R15 version 3 started its journey in Bangladesh with their Yamaha R15 version 1. Since then, the demand for this series has increased tremendously and the people of Bangladesh have welcomed the Yamaha R15 series. After Yamaha R15 version 1 they bring Yamaha R15 version 2 and it gained a lot of popularity and due to having more modern features the popularity rate was more comparing the version 1. The latest R15 V3 comes with all the latest features and more upgraded design, in terms of Bangladesh it becomes a dream bike for all. The design of this bike, engine features, VVA, assist and slipper clutch all combine Yamaha showed their class and their skills for this bike. I think Yamaha is the only brand that has brought all the sophisticated feature within 150cc.
I am a big fan of Yamaha and I really like Yamaha R15 version 3 bike. This bike has won my heart a lot in terms of design. Meanwhile, after riding the bike, I am more impressed with the performance of the features that are with the engine or other things, including ABS braking. I could not stop myself to buy this monster. Several months ago I bought a Yamaha R15 version 3 and now I have ridden it for 2600 km. After the break-in period was over, now the bike is in a much better way to ride. In my view, I found some excellent sides of this bike including a few drawbacks and today through Motorcycle Valley I will share my short experience.
The first thing I liked was this bike's ABS braking system. I like its feedback very much. On sandy roads, on muddy conditions I got very good support was well.

The design is very eye-catching to me. Everything from the front, starting with the headlamps to the rear tail lamps this bike is perfectly designed by Yamaha. Meanwhile, the color combination of this bike is also very beautiful. The color of my bike is very attractive and it is called Dark Knight, which I like so much.

VVS, FI, Blue Core, Assist Slipper Clutch all combined I get very good power and acceleration from the engine. What I understood after riding 2600 kilometers is, the bikes engine is the best engine among the premium bikes in Bangladesh which is full of features. Being in brake-in period condition, I did not ride with this engine at high speed, but I gave acceleration twice to realize the power of the engine and got excellent performance. I am satisfied with the engine performance.

Controlling seemed great to me. The suspension, the chassis are much better and as a result the controlling I got is much better. Body balance of the bike is much better at higher speeds.

I am very satisfied with the mileage. Within the city I get 40km per liter and 45km on the highway. This mileage seemed incredible to me and it is possible because of FI and Blue engine. It is a matter of luck to get such a mileage from premium type bikes. In terms of this sector, Yamaha has shown their efficiency as they have increased the mileage by adding modern features to keep the engine performance right.

On the downside, I found this bike's seating position and handlebars. The handlebars are quite low and I have to ride with the seating position slightly tilted, which makes me feel a lot of pain in the wrist. Especially on city streets I feel it more, because the wrist hurts a lot more when moving in city traffic. I cover about 300 km in one day. On that day felt a little uncomfortable because of the handlebars. Besides, other things seemed right to me.

If the price of the bike could be reduced a little more, I think the demand for it would increase a lot. I would request ACI Motors to lower the price of this bike.
