Yamaha R15 Vs Honda CBR150R
In Bangladesh different categories and segments of motorcycles are available from different Brands. Because of speed limitation and some other cause 150cc motorcycles are very popular at our country base. There are different types of 150cc motorcycles available in our but among them two big names can be found and they are Yamaha R-15 and Honda CBR 150R. Now the question is which one is better. It is very difficult to say which one is better because the answer will vary with different situation and to different riders. So let’s compare these two motorcycles from bellow the lines, it will be helpful to the rider to decide which one is better for themselves.Looks:
At the outlooks some riders things R-15 is best and some riders says CBR is best. Honda CBR is made with decent outlooks, on the other hand outlooks of R-15 is aggressive. That’s why some riders give priority to R-15 at the outlooks but it can be said CBR 150R is also very stylish and loved by all.
Control:
Both motorcycles are well designed for the controlling, that’s why their controlling is much similar. On the basis of personal experience it can be said R-15 gives good controlling than the CBR 150R. But the cornering of CBR 150R is better than R-15. So both are good at controlling few differences can be found.
Comfort:
At the comfortness both his motorcycles are almost the same. Sitting position of R-15 is little bit sporty then CBR. On the other side sitting position of CBR 150R is much comfortable and this sitting position will help the riders to have amazing journey at the long drive. With rider pillion driving will be much easier at CBR 150R than R-15 because the pillion seat of R-15 is not so comfortable at all. So we can say at the sort distance R-15 is good but at the long ride CBR 150R is Better.
Engine and performance:
Both Yamaha and Honda company does not make any compromise at this side with their products. That’s why engine side of these two motorcycles are very nicely made and without any doubt their performance are very well. Yamaha R-15 has single cylinder, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve 149.8cc engine. This engine can produce 17PS @ 8,500rpm max power and 15 N.m @ 7,500rpm Max torque. If we talk about the performance, this bike can give a top speed of 155KM/H and this bike can reach the speed of 0-100 at 8-10 seconds. On the other side CBR 150R has 4-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC 150cc engine with 13.1 KW @10500rpm max power and 12.66Nm @ 8500rpm max torque. With this type of engine a rider can reach the top speed of approximate 165 KM/H. At short distance sometimes R-15 can bit CBR but at the long distance Honda CBR is much better than R-15. So we can say both engines are absolutely well made.
Braking and suspensions:
Braking of both this bike is really amazing but braking system of CBR 150R is little bit better than R-15. After hitting the brakes CBR stops faster than R-15 only this is the difference. At the suspensions both are perfect. R-15 has Telescopic suspensions at the front and Swing arm, Monosock suspension at the rear side. On the other side CBR also contains same configured suspensions like R-15.
So at last we can say both bikes are perfectly made by Yamaha and Honda and both are best at the 150cc segment. Now it is up to the riders to decide which one is suitable for themselves.
