I'm MD. Saddam Hossain, an employee. Currently I'm using one of the most controversial bike of the market in the 125cc segment “Yamaha Saluto 125cc”. Its been almost 6 months and I have traveled 10 thousands kilometer with it. To complete my personal works and family purpose were the key reason to purchase this bike. At first I was in the market to purchase “Suzuki Hayate” but I have to changed decision instantly and according to the advise of my friend I purchased “Yamaha Saluto”. I didn't have anything negative in my mind about the as we all know that what is “Yamaha”. Today I'm going to share my 10,000 kilometers riding experience with you guy's. I hope my experience will be helpful enough for you all to make your decision to purchase this one.
Its engine performance is really good to me. I have made tour of Rajshahi-Chapai and I don't feel anything less in the performance in the bike. Its sound change after the speed is 60 kilometer per hour behind this, others features are just fine.
Its design is just fine and attractive as a 125cc bike to me. On the other hand, its build quality is also very good so far to me. I have noticed that its headlight protector vibrates and makes a noise and this one make me feel bad.
Its make me feel very much comfortable but its seat is in the high position and thats why I have to face some trouble in the traffic but seating position is very soft to me. Handlebar is good but its height was high later I set this up in lower position. Switches are good but one part of this bike really make me feel bad and it is its light of the headlamp which cannot supply the needed light which is very pathetic for me.
I found its control just fine. So far I have found its top speed of 85 kilometers per hour without any vibration. Its braking is just fine after having drum brake in the wheel. Meanwhile, its front suspension is not normal from my view but its rear suspension really make me feel good. Grip of the tyre is really nice by which I merely feel any skidding in the hard brake. By considering all the features, its controlling is just ok to me.
I was hopeful with the matter of mileage as the company claim that this bike will serve 78 kilometer per liter. On the other hand, showroom informs me that it will serve more then 60 kilometer per liter but the truth is, it serving 55 kilometers per liter which is really pathetic and this is just make me depressed.
Service of the servicing center is up to the mark but its parts are not available. I have to suffer almost a month but not yet found in my hands.
Good sides
- Comfortable to ride
- Good controlling
Negative sides:
- Headlamps light is not enough
- Windshield of the headlight is very weak by which it vibrates.
By considering all the features of this bike, its price is just ok from my view. If someone wants to purchase this bike then I would like to say that, if you can make up with the negative sides of this bike then just “Go for Saluto”.
