Yamaha Saluto user review by Mokarram Hossain Asif

I am Mokarram Hossain Asif and by the profession I am graphics design instructor at a government ICT office. Along with that I love to introduce myself as biker. From my childhood I am passionate about motorbikes and after learning bike riding I have ridden many bikes. For three months I am using my very own motorcycle named Yamaha Saluto 125 (Drum Brake) bike. Reason for purchasing this bike was my busy life which gets easier for this bike and also for my attraction about bike riding. Today I am going to tell some good and bad sides about this bike and also my very own experiences. Hope you will stay along.

As I mentioned earlier I have attraction on bikes and driven many but not my own. So I always think of my own bike and before purchasing this bike I have ridden Bajaj Discover 100, Bajaj CT 100 and Apache RTR etc. after I saw this bike I become pleased with its features and made my mind o buy this.




Firstly if I talk about the design and build quality of this bike as 125cc bike it’s enough for me. Comparing to other 125cc bike it has better graphics and body parts but one of the negative things about the build quality is its meter panel. It is not digital and analogue meter is not perfect placement comparing to other 125cc bike at the local market. For last three months I am using this bike and I think it has better seating position for the riders and the combination of seat and handle bar is perfect. I feel very comfortable during riding. Every single switch at the handlebar looks good and work perfectly but I felt lack of power from the headlamp of this bike at night riding.



As 125cc segment bike this bike offer good controlling according to me. In different situation I am able to handle this bike without facing any problem. Till now I have got 95 KM/H top speed and t may be cross 100 I think because on that time when I was riding at 95 KM/H I didn’t saw the meter after 95. But I was comfortable enough to control the bike. I like the tires and suspensions and I have no doubt about their work ability. But I think the brakes are not good enough for me. Both the brakes got loosen very early and brake shoes are not good in quality. So at this side I am disappointed. Though this bike is available with front Disc brakes but I didn’t expect this kind of braking performance from the drum brake version and according to the price other 125cc bikes offer disc brakes at the front wheel within the same price tag.





I like the mileage of this bike it is very fuel efficient. Though I didn’t get the same mileage claimed by the company but I have got 55 KM/L mileage and hopefully I will get more than that.
On the other side I didn’t need to change anything yet or didn’t need to service my bike but I have visited the service center and there is nothing to complaint about. Their behavior and working skill is good enough.

In conclusion I would like to say I satisfied with my bike but if the features were more up to date it will perform better I think. According to my own view I will rate this bike 4 out of 5.
