10 reasons to reduce bike mileage

Your motorcycle can’t provide the mileage as you expected? You want to reduce the carburetor fuel by the mechanic to solve this problem? It is not a perfect decision or solution of this problem, because you will not get the expected mileage after reducing the carburetor oil. There is nothing wrong with the carburetor, it is somewhere else. Few tips which will help to increase your motorcycle mileage are given bellow.

1. Check the motorcycle wheels and make sure they are rotating perfectly. Sometimes because of tight brakes tyres cannot rotate properly or if the wheel bearing has been broken tyres can spin suitably. That is why motorcycle engine has to tolerate more pressure at the same speed in normal conditions. As the results mileage will decrease. So if the wheels and tyres can’t perform properly solve the problem immediately. Sometimes we saw the wheel nut is fitted very strongly and for this reason sometimes wheels been broken and if it happens the consequences will not be good.

2. If the chain remains so much tight it will cause the wheel blocking. Not using lubricants or without taking good care of chain can cause mileage decreasing. According to the manual maintain your chain and take care of it.
Note: If the chain remains so much tight during the riding period this thing can be cut off and cause an accident.

3. Weak ring-piston is a reason of decreasing the motorcycle mileage. If this problem occurs and remains then engine oil enters at the combustion chamber and reduces the burning power of the engine. Results: less mileage + less power.

4. Valve clearance is one of the main reason of reducing the power and mileage. Excess tight valves decrease the engine sound for sure but it increase the internal friction of the engine and engine cannot spin properly. Because of this reason engine need more petroleum and as well as the timing chain loses its durability. So in simple words if the valve clearance remains good the motorcycle engine will perform better and as the results mileage will be perfect.

5. Now we can talk about carburetor, yes this thing can increase and decrease the oil floating. It is better not to touch this thing because the adjustment screw of carburetor is very sensitive. If this thing troubles once you have no choice but to change and their prices are also very high. Never tune your carburetor without any experienced mechanic.

6. Use those engine oils which your motorcycle company recommended, it will ensure your motorcycles engines longevity and mileage.

7. Wide tires reduce the mileage so use those tyres which are recommended for your motorcycle.

8. Maintain the tyre pressure as the motorcycle manufacturers recommended and check them at list once after two weeks.

9. Use high quality spark plug. NGK iridium plugs are available at the market.

10. Change the air filter at every servicing because if this thing been jammed it will cause you less mileage.

Without these reasons increasing RPM, sudden braking and then exhilarate fast, not shutting down the engine at the singles, using low graded patrols or octane can reduce the mileage of a motorcycle.
