Fuel Saving Tips for Bike

Motorcycles are loved by all the teenagers or young peoples. Not only young people’s but also the service holders, businessmen and many more other peoples from different occupation ride motorcycles. Most of those riders didn’t know how they can reduce their fuel cost or they had no headache about, why their favorite motorcycle is consuming extra fuel and they didn’t even thing is there any with their caring. Because of this reason sometimes people pay no attention to have a motorcycle or if they have one they don’t use it for multipurpose, only in need they used to ride their motorcycle. Alertness about the bike can reduce the fuel cost. Let us see how we can prevent extra fuel cost and ride our motorcycle cheerfully. Before we start it is better to know that carburetor can increase the oil floating but it has nothing to do with the mileage of a motorcycle. So if the mileage reduces, there is no need to tune up the carburetor. The adjustment screw of the carburetor is very sensitive and because of this reason tune up this thing without any expert mechanics observation can cost you more. So it is better not to touch the carburetor without any problem of its own.

Clean the spark plug
Spark plug generates the internal burning system with the help of electricity at the motorcycle engine. This spar burn the fuel inside the engine and for this reason at the inner compartment of the engine rotations has been created. If the plug been jammed sometimes motorcycle stops suddenly and sometimes the engine not even start up. Because of this reason dirt free the spark plug regularly and as a result the motorcycle won’t stop and you will get better mileage.

Unsoiled the carburetor
Motorcycle carburetor is a thing which combined the Air and fuel of internal burning engine. Carburetor air depends on the pressure and its main job is to mix the fuel and air for the engine. When this carburetor becomes polluted the engine need more fuel to work properly and the mileage of that motorcycle reduces, fuel cost becomes high. Because of this reason carburetor needs to be cleaned regularly by a expert mechanic to prevent this problem.

Ride the bike following the directions
Fuel costs can be reducing by following the correct directions at the riding period. If someone rides the bike at the low gears it will cost extra fuel and for this reason try to generate good speed after starting the bike and fixed the top gear as early as possible and as a result your fuel costs will be reduce. Claiming at the mountains or higher place engine generates full power and for this it consumes extra fuel. So when the bike is ready to be at top gear shift the gear as early as possible.


Drive motorcycle slow and stable
After starting the engine consuming fuel starts, on the other side shifting the gear top to bottom gear increase the fuel cost because its starts to consume more fuel. For this reason ride the bike at average speed which is known as moderate speed. At the Speedo meter in every motorcycle average speed is given. At the economy speed motorcycle consume less fuel which can decrease your fuel costs. At the traffic signals turn off the engine and your fuel costs will be lesser.

Increase the speed slowly
The more motorcycle engine will spin the more it will burn fuel. So after starting the engine ride drive the motorcycle at the first gear for some time and according to the speed shift the gears one by one. This will help the engine to perform better and extra fuel will not be burn.


Decrease speed and reduce fuel
Remember the more speed will increase the more bike will consume fuel. That’s why always keep the moderate speed such as 30 to 50 KM/H. At this type of speed shift the gears at the top it will lessen the fuel cost.

Check your motorcycle regularly
Checking the motorcycle regularly can reduce the fuel costs. Particularly when you went out from your house at check the engine sound, if it seems like different then be watch it carefully. Without that carburetor, plug, battery and other parts are also needed checking regularly. Check the tyre pressure because if the air pressure is not good at the tyres motorcycle will consume extra power and fuel.



Change the engine oil at correct time
If the motorcycle is new then the engine oil needed to be changed after running 500 KM. After that change the engine oil following every 1000 KM. it helps the engine to perform better the engine sound remains excellent and decrease the fuel burning. Engine oil is one of the most important things of the motorcycle engine so it needs to be taken care.

Check the tyre pressure frequently
Check the tyre pressure at least once in a month. Low tyre pressure is not just dangerous but also it costs extra fuel. When the tyre pressure will be measured the deepness also needed checking.


Carry less weight during riding
If the bike carries heavy weight it will consume extra fuel. Because when a motorcycle contains heavy weight tyre and road will have more friction which will cost more power and fuel. So don’t use the motorcycles as four wheeler vehicle and carry one pillion with the rider.

Use pure fuel
Adulterate fuels can create many problems for a motorcycle. Such as engine will heat up early, fuel costs will be increased, plug, ring- piston will be destroyed much early etc many more. So take fuel from the known and trusted place.

Tune up your bike regularly
After a certain time service your bike and do it regularly. Tune up your motorcycle from the approved and trusted workshops or servicing centers. If you do so your motorcycle will last long and the fuel coast will reduce a lot.
