Motorcycle riding in bad weather
Sometimes motorcycle user’s faces bad weather unexpectedly and sometimes they have to do it intentionally. If they don’t know how to go through in that kind of situation or if they don’t have any idea about such type of conditions bad occurrences can take place. Driving in bad weather presents several challenges to the motorist. So riders must need to be aware of these types of situation and to prevent them require to carry some gears and maintain few things. Few tips for motorcycle riding in extreme weather conditions are given bellow for motorcycle riders.
Riding in rain
It’s obvious that the biggest problem of riding in heavy rain is to keep yourself dry. Because if you face uncertain rain during your ride or if you need to go out into the heavy rain then it is important to have some safety gears or instant knowledge to keep yourself dry. These things a rider can follow to ride in heavy rain or if rains comes out suddenly at the riding time.
- Try to carry rain suit always in rainy seasons because when the rain will fall no one knows. If you realize rain is about to come then put your rain gear on before the rain starts.
- If the rain interrupts your visibility on the road then you must stop and wait until it slows down. In heavy rain if the other riders cannot able to see you at the roads accident can happen.
- Because visibility is important in this type of situation so wear bright colors for increased visibility to others.
- Transfer wallet, keys, and other essential belongings to waterproof pockets of your raincoat and ride slowly.
- In this type of time always Increase your following distance from other vehicles and don’t try to overtake at high speed.
- Use your rear brake in advance if you see any problems in front of you to alert followers. Gently apply brakes which will save you from accidents, mud, and gathered water on the road.
- When the road is covered in water the risk for hydroplaning, tyre skidding and decreasing tyre pressures are increased, by avoiding sudden movements and ride slowly can be a better option in heavy rain.
- If you get are in a wet condition then you have to get yourself dry as early as possible to avoid hypothermia.
- Thunderbolt is one of the top difficulties at rainy season. So if you can realize this situation, don’t take shelters in lower place. Try to take shelter at concrete buildings or underneath of higher things. trees can be dangerous because they electricity can pass through it.

Riding in cold season
Cold, mist and wind are related to each other because we often saw these things in one season. Bike riding in cold and foggy condition can be dangerous if the rider is not prepared or aware about the situations.
- It is very important to get our self warm in winter. Riders need to dress in multiple layers, including thermal garments or lather, windproof outer layer with a high and tight collar.
- In winter wind is one of the biggest issues, because it is almost difficult to ride in wind at winter season. At this type of situation to protect air helmet, gloves, boots, and full covered jackets of riding suit is necessary.
- Because of extreme mist riders cannot be able to see what in near to him in cold weather. It is important to carry good and powerful lights for riding in this type of situation. In our country extra fog lights are not allowed by the laws so the riders need to use powerful headlights and indicators. If it possible riders can light up the indicators along with the headlights to see more clear.
-In cold weather mists belongs at the roads and the roads becomes slippery. For this reason many accident occurs in winter so riders need to be careful about bike skidding. To avoid this problem using better tyre and riding slow will be the choice.
- Like rainy season visibility in foggy weather is also necessary. To remain visible to others riders can use laser lights, side reflectors, vests, bright color cloths, better quality etc many more things as they like best.
Riding in hot weather
Terrible heat means summer and summer means storm, dehydration, sunburn, heatstroke etc difficulties. All of them are related to summer and that’s why riding in extreme summer is not an easy task. Riders need to bear lots of things in their mind when they have to ride in this type of weather.
- One of the most important thing riders need to do in summer is to protect themselves from sun rays because if they ride in extreme hot weather then sunburn and heat stoke will occur. Beast way to prevent this situation is not to ride if it is not necessary. If someone needs to then wearing comfortable and covered cotton clothes, helmets or sunglasses are required. Instead of shirts t-shirt, jersey can be used but they will not protect the rider from sunburn.
- Sweating is also a big problem in summer. When a rider will ride in wet conditions body temperature of his will decrease and it will cause dehydration. That is why riders needed to have pure drinking water time to time at the riding period.
- Sometimes riders have to face heavy storm at the riding period suddenly. In that type of situation slow down the bike and taking a safe shelter will be a better option. Because in our country big size trees are planted beside the highways and if any of them broke down in front of the rider then a big accident will take place and strong wind will also bother the rider very badly. Intentionally riding in storm will not be a good choice.
