Pros and cons of cruiser motorcycle

Hands in the high handle bar, legs spread in the front and kept in the comfortable footrest. Cap in the head or open face helmet, front wheel high in accordance with the rear wheel, a big and wide size fuel tank in the front and both wheel enough wide. Many of us are very much well known with these sort of scenario by the cinema or TV. This one is little bit different then the common bike we know and these sort of bikes known as the “Cruiser bike”

This cruiser bike was invented in America in the time of 1930 or 1960. Harley Davidson, Indian and Excelsior was the companies who introduce these bikes. Although, this bikes made with less torque but always have a powerful engine. Basically a cruiser has “V-twin” engine. Extra comfortable seat, straight backbone position, powerful breaking system these are some key features of this cruiser bike. There is one more cruiser you can see known as the “Power cruiser” which always possess a heavy powerful engine, heavy breaking system and suspension, maximum ground clearance and often in muscular size as like – Yamaha V-max.


This is not clearly known from when the cruiser bike is available in Bangladesh. But the cruiser bike used by the traffic sergeant from the “Zongshen 125cc” is very well known to all, very recently this bike makes it position among the people of our country. “Regal Raptor” is the first one by which the people of our country become familiar with it. Although the bikers yet not taste the real taste of cruiser bike only due to Power limitation. Keeway Superlight 150, Haojue TR, Haojue TZ, AtlasZongshen ZS, Znen Vento, Pegasus Fabio, Auge Classic these bikes are very popular and well known in our country. Very recently Bajaj Avenger 150 Street, H Power Dark and UM Runner also going to come in the market. Beside this, there are some brands also seen in the road.









Good sides of cruiser motorcycle

Style: the main reason to use cruiser bike is its style. Only because its different look attract the bikers to it. The rider position over it snatches the yes of others.

Long ride: This one of the major cause to choose this bike. You cannot compare any bike with it on the matter of long ride. Powerful engine, comfortable seating position makes it different from the others on the matter of long ride.

Comfort: When you are talking about comfort then the cruiser bikes will be in the top of the list. High handle, down comfortable seat front wide footrest gives the rider maximum comfort. Although the low torque never serve high speed but powerful engine always let the rider to ride long journey comfortably.










Bad sides of cruiser motorcycle

High price: Its price is high according to the general bikes. Although you can ignore this for its advantage.

Excess fuel cost: it is far heavier them the normal bike. Over powerful engine, heavyweight and wide tire makes it do so. But the riders never think about this cost when they ready have this.

Not suitable for the city street: This is a major problem in our countries where this bike made for long ride and we have to lead our life in the cities as well as but you cannot ride this bike comfortably. Its long wheelbase is going to be the main problem in a short turning and its long size as well. And you know the condition of our street.


At the last
To be frank, there is no real space in our country to drive this bike comfortably. You never going to have a traffic free long road. Each of the road are very busy and thats why it need to break and change the gears frequently. It becomes very difficult to ride on the road by maintaining traffic but hobby and passion of a new thing triumph over them all the time. If you have to make long frequently then you can choose cruiser bike. This will give different feelings that you never feel so far.
